So I applied to run a game offer, cos I thought (a) the game looked pretty cool, and (b) the subject was something I could get creative with in terms of images and ad copy to boost ctr on facebook.
However, my AM just wrote back to me asking for a sample before I run -
"All in game images and copy that actually has to do with the offer. "
Reading through stacks guide to getting awesome CTRs on FB, this kinda ruins that doesn't it?
Would people just steer clear of game offers which have these kind of restrictions?
They don't care about in-game images. They care about lead quality. If you were providing quality leads there should be no reason why they wouldn't accept other images.
If you want to use other creatives, ask your AM to give you a small cap to test with. You can then look over the quality with her/him.
I'd be surprised if they said no to quality leads brought in by non in game images.
@nick I think the only network I ran into that asked for in game images was adsimilis I don't think any other network really cares like Mr Green said, especially if your sending quality leads to them.
Motive and adotomi care.
It's 50/50, a lot of the time taking Mr. Greens approach will be the way you want to do it, work out a deal/capped test, prove your quality and go from there. It also works better if you have proven you can make some $$ with whatever network your talking to, so having previously successful campaigns with them will definitely help.
Some advertisers require it and actually do not pay on creatives unapproved - it's become more and more uniform over the past two months. The approval process we've had to go through lately for people on specific games is mindblowing.
Is the approved game images just so they don't get sued?
