How Can I Set Up a Bot Trap in Mobidea's Internal Tracker? (3)

Hi guys,

I have been running Mobidea phone sweeps in Singapore using popunders. I am getting high CTR's on my landing pages (ranging from 12% to 55%) but have yet to have a single conversion (I'm getting about 10000 impressions a day).

I suspect bots, so I am looking to create a bot trap. The problem is that most threads on bot traps on this forum require an external tracker, and I am using Mobidea's internal tracker (I can't afford an external tracker at this point). Because Mobidea's internal tracker only allows me to link to Mobidea offers, I can't redirect to an external site like Google for my bot trap.

Also, Mobidea's tracker does not allow you to connect a CTA link from one rotation to another landing page, meaning I cannot set up a separate redirect page as a bot trap. If I were to that, Mobidea's tracker would only count CTR's from my redirect page, and I would have no data for my actual landing pages.

Is there any way to set up a bot trap in Mobidea's tracker, or do I need to bite the bullet and scrape together enough money for Voluum? I can't believe that I haven't had a single conversion with the impressions and CTR's I'm getting. Admittedly, I've only tested two offers so far, but if up to 55% of impressions are interested enough to click through to the offer (assuming they're actual people), certainly at least one person would be interested enough to sign up for the offer, right?

First of all, could you please tell me more what kind of bot trap would you like to use? Like software or a link?

Secondly, just for you to know, Mobidea has an anti-fraud system which detects a low-quality traffic, including the bot traffic.

And also, not always the high CTR of LP guarantees the high conversion rate.

I was hoping to use either a script, as outlined in this post, or one of the techniques outlined in this blog post. If you could look at those two posts and tell me what would be easiest in Mobidea, or if some other technique would be better, I would very much appreciate it.

I didn't know that. Thank you for telling me. What happens whenever Mobidea detects a bot? Is there any way to see the data about what traffic was blocked as bot traffic and where it's coming from? If I do have a bot problem, I would like to know what placements to cut and have some data that I could use to request a refund from my traffic source.

I know. I'm about to start a thread in the Pop area asking for advice on increasing my conversion rate.
