Where do you get your videos from? (5)

Where do you get your videos from?

Hi guys,

I have a /noobie/ question which is bothering me from a long time.

I'm working with several aff networks and I want to focus on promoting WH eCommerce offers. It's obvious that networks provide websites and sometimes some banners or videos (this is rare actually). What do you guys do in case when you want to promote some offer by a video which is not included in these network creatives?

I mean, sure, you can find plenty of videos on YT and download it and publish in your own campaign - the pros are obvious but is it the way affiliates usually do it?

Making your own video costs usually a lot of money so I doubt people do it, how about some commercial videos market? Is there anything like it?

Thanks!

The best way to get these videos is to actually order the merchandise and either do a quick review yourself or hire someone to do it. This way there are no worries of potential copyright infringement etc.

But for a quick test of a product you're not yet sure will sell well enough to justify spending the time, here are 2 methods:

1)Download review or demonstration videos of the product that other people have uploaded to youtube or other video sites. Please be warned that by using other people's videos you would probably be breaking some sort of copyright law, so do so at your own risk.

2)Create a video by splicing together product images. You can find images that are supplied by the seller or manufacturer, and then there are pictures that are uploaded by customers. You can find both on aliexpress for example. Same warning regarding copyright applies here though.

Adobe Spark is perfect for something like this. Just upload a bunch of images in a certain order, choose the background music, and optionally change the duration of each image, and you have a video ready for download.

These are quick and dirty (and free!) ways I use to make videos for quick product testing. Would love to hear how the rest of you do this as well. Thanks phobos for asking the question!

Thanks vortex!

Adobe Spark looks promising. I found also tool called Content Samurai: contentsamurai.com
I've made one video and it looks pretty good, and making it takes only couple of minutes!

Thanks for telling me about contentsamurai.com! I took a brief look - it looks like they only have a 7-day trial and then you'd need to subscribe for $47/month?

Whereas Adobe Spark is free - and if you want premium features that would only cost $9.99/month (or if you're with adobe creative cloud, it's included in the subscription).
