Ok just thought i would share this with you dudes.
..so i set up a lead gen campaign (debt management) using a bespoke PPV LP. Was getting 100's of imps and after a whole day somewhat bemused at getting no click thrus and zero leads!!
Tested the LP repeatedly and the CTA button, all working OK no probs. I use Affportal so I checked their tool to see that my Lp would resolve OK in this particular PPV platform and it was fine.
I know this is a tough market but it was unfeasible to get no CT's whatsoever so i changed the headline and text thinking it might be that - but no difference.
Then i got a IM pal to check it on a browser that has the PPV toolbar on it and BINGO, saw that the cta button was completely invisible on his browser and the LP looked crap as only half was visible despite it being optimized for this use.
Lesson learned although confused as to why the Affportal tool was not really reflecting the reality.
Always a downside of PPV, I've seriously made landing pages giant single images so no matter what it works fine across all ad platforms. CTR is usually the same too lol
The only thing bad about single images is loading time, but if you can get it to under 100kb it does great.
