Many of the networks epc's for email submits are very low and hardly seem worth the trouble.
I would assume that testing traffic is not helping these epc's look favourable.
Therefore, would I be right in saying to not take a blind bit of notice of the reported figures?
Or am I missing something here?
You should consider that network EPC's tend to be lower than you should expect. Lots of people test offers/run offers contextually or via traffic sources that doesn't convert too well, which drives down the network-wide EPC's. Having said that, these other people can still be profiting, but if you're driving traffic in a way that you expect to convert better than less experienced pubs, you should take the network EPC's into consideration, but don't assume you'll have those same exact EPC's.
Ask your AM for the EPC's of the (top) publishers for the offer you want.
If I can make the numbers work with network-wide EPCs then I know I'll kill it once it's optimized a bit.
Yeah allthegold is right
as usual. Network EPCs are useful way of determining whether its worth spending any time on that offer.
You can use network EPCs as a rough guide, but not as anything 100%. Too many factors fluctuate them up and down
Not to mention the feeling when you beat the network EPCs 4x-5x higher. Priceless.
