Changing URLS on ripped landers

Ladies and gentlemen. god it feels good to get my motivation back and momentum after a few months of round 2 of major depression and anxiety. good news is in that time i saved some more $$$ from the family business so i have more to play with.

Anyways that's not why i'm here you sexy buggers.

I'm here because iv'e hit a little block and i have zero coding knowledge...

I saw this video on ripping landers from This guy on YouTube and He said to just open the HTML file once you downloaded it find the "href=" Part in that file then replace that URL with yours.

He did it and it worked perfectly fine. and I just got adplexity today and downloaded a Few landers I though looked promising where i can maybe change some copy around. ( i know how to do that part. im terrible at coding not 2 years old)

anyways I replace the URL with just "http//:maxbounty.com to test it out and it still goes to that offer page of the lander.

I tried 2 times on 2 different landers.

IF anyone could shed some light on this I would be very much grateful!

Keep Hustling!

UPDATE: what i mean by landing page is the CTA button stays the same. does not go to my designated website.

You probably missed some more links.

Try to search for http or https in the file and replace those.

There may be also some hidden redirect in Javascript files, which is a bit harder to edit even for someone who understands HTML/JS haha.

Also some landers have those CTA links created with Javascript and direct linking right to the offer.

What you can also do is to monitor the redirects let's say in the Developer Tools Network tab in your browser and find the part of the URL you are being redirected through.

Hey @ericgyepes thanks for the reply! There's Tons of other threads to answer let alone what you do in your own business life so I appreciate it.

also god bless you! hours apon hours trying to figure on whats wrong because i would click the CTA and it would go to a 404 error page but if i clicked the rest of the page it would go to my website.

i thought i checked all the links but after more digging I found 1 more link that was still with the other URL.

Thanks so much for your input. 1 more roadblock crossed out today! Gonna set up camps in the next few days and lets get this shit going!!

As always keep hustling!

Jeremiah, I would also recomend to consider to just hire a coder to quickly fix a few LPs for you ... people from some Asian or Eastern European countries are willing to do small jobs like this for a few bucks and there is a lot of them on upwork or fiverr ... sometimes it's just not worth the hassle of doing it on your own

THANKS! although I already hit another small bumps I must do first LOL all part of the learning process. My first issue is i'm just very new to the whole S3 and CDN setup but that is something i will learn over time. i did not set up a CDN yet and just for shits and giggles i went to pingdom.com and my lander took 50 seconds to load!

I'm going to be running push because It's cheaper traffic and I think If people get in now it will be a lot easier to make money from \push now than it will in 3 years once more people start jumping on.

And matuloo thank you for the tip. I was planning on doing that at a later date once im profitable. You see im a control freak when it comes to business as in I want to know how everything works. So i plan on getting to know more about coding and hosting setups before i get someone else to do it. God damn its taking me a long time but im just thinking it as a investment of my future to gain this knowledge first!

But don't you worry By this time next year i strive to already assemble a mini money making army of my own hahaha.

Obviously, it would be the best to learn how to do it on your own, but sometimes it equals to wasting time and it's not effective ... on top of that, it's easier to learn by following what an experienced individual has done to the code and spotting the changes, instead of doing it all by trial/error and possibly screwing things up

That actually makes alot of sense. Did not quite think of it like that. you must delegate your time and focus on your strengths and what you like to do is what all the top dogs are saying. now just have to put it into action!

Thanks guys!
