ZeroPark - How to exclude Android Webview? (16)

ZeroPark - How to exclude Android Webview?

Is there any workaround how to exclude Android Webview traffic from ZeroPark, Mobile only campaign?

I copied best-performing campaign to ZeroPark and 94% of the traffic that I bought is Android Webview. The problem is that this type of traffic doesn't convert at all for me.

Is there a trick that I need to spend first a few hundreds dollars to blacklist bot traffic and then start making decisions?

If that's the trick and I need to look this as an investment in the future, I believe it's worth it because they have huge volume and targeting options available.

Is the Android Webview traffic coming from in-app sources? If so check out from what sources is coming most of the traffic then based on target performance cut down wasters.

Most of the traffic is labeled as Unknown and the second one is MoPub which is probably in-app. Am I looking the right data?

Yeah, this should be in-app traffic. Check out Sources > Targets in your Voluum drill-down reports. You will be able to see where most of the traffic is coming from and what is eating most of your budget.

I did this... but because there are so many placements I need to probably spend more before deciding to blacklist, right? Publishers can also send mix of bot/real visitors?

Is it too fast to kill all those placements... if I know they are sending only Android Webview traffic?

Assuming that you haven't done much optimization on this new camp, I would say that some targets have already confirmed their reputation

Try getting rid of the above noted targets and see if CTR levels drop down back to normal. On a barely optimized campaign it's a bit abnormal of having such high click-through rates especially for Pops.

Before the only way to get rid of Android Webview traffic was only to redirect it to the other offer through Voluum or the other tracker, and also block the placements which doesn't convert for you = in this case, having that Webview.

However (SPOILER ALERT!!!), we are almost ready to launch the special tool, which will allow you to block unwanted mobile browsers straight from the panel. Stay tuned, the update should be live till the end of the week!

Actually, I noticed that I have some technical issue on most of my landers because CTR is abnormal high. Maybe I have multiple JS back-button scripts. Not sure yet.

@wakeboarder @zeropark Nice! Is this something we have to request or it's going to be available to everyone?

nice feature @zeropark, will definitely make life easier with the camp optimization. Hope targeting by language will be added as well
