Hello Guys,
we want to try Amazon FBA as well and as we understand, the best way to try it in terms of processing and taxation is to have company in USA.
usually it is not a huge problem to create company there for non-residents but we still are looking for some experienced guys or consultants who can advice every step and details. Who have experience in doing that.
Can u suggest someone or some company? We saw several ones but still, I think people here can suggest better ones.
We have shipped to USA FBA centers without any problems and without setting up a company there.
So I am curious as to why you'd need to set up a company there and why this was recommended.
Maybe I am missing something?
If you just want to test the market, just send a few boxes of goods. Pay import duty on them and start selling.
Will be quicker and cheaper.
Pekadis,
So you have company in other country and just registered on Amazon as the non resident company?
What about payment like are you using Payoneer? And what about sales taxes? how are you calculating and paying that taxes in USA?
As far i researched for sales taxes purposes its better to have USA company...
Any advice can be helpful
Payoneer, no it's just a bank transfer into our bank account, which takes like 2 days and is paid out in a 14 day interval.
Sales tax is all taken care of by Amazon and you can't even opt out. Read a detailed explanation here (news article).
So, they are collecting in two states, what about other states? How do you make that on your side? And in which country are you based? Because Amazon is not working directly on our Bank as far i understand. We have to use Payoneer. But actually Payoneer is not a problem, problem is that we have to work with Taxation and that maybe easier could be with USA company... thats why I`m seeking for advices.
Hey, ptgtate!
Welcome to the FBA world - I'm an American in Shenzhen, China and I've worked and consulted with some of the largest Amazon sellers in the world. Here's my thoughts:
Setting up a US company is not required for Amazon and setting one up doesn't provide too many advantages. Set up a company where it makes sense for you.
Generally, most foreign sellers use Payoneer, if you speak Chinese there are some cheaper options out there as well such as Pingpong, but Payoneer should be fine for 99% of sellers.
Currently, no one knows anything about sales tax for Amazon. Including the accountants that specialize in Amazon! Amazon started collecting it in a few states and will hopefully end up taking responsibility for it, but the laws are incredibly vague right now. Just know that no one I know has the answers to this situation and we're all waiting for the states to figure it out.
My friend Mike Michelini has a lot of great content on running Amazon FBA from abroad - www.GlobalFromAsia.com <- recommend looking through the site and podcast.
Best of luck on your Amazon journey, would love to see some more Amazon follow alongs on STM.
Ive been selling in Usa for a while, never had to register any type of company either. i think you will be fine, i just remember sending to USA through Fedex and Amazon WILL NOT BE broker of records for the load, just need to make FEDEX or whoever you're using, broker of records.

Jose,
I'm also in Amazon game, currently selling on 7 different countries, from time to time we use https://www.jumpsend.com for getting reviews, reviews is not guaranteed, but for me what worked best, is create/have a great product, and people will review it, ( i'm also in the cosmetics business) after launching our last product, in less than 1 month we got 7 reviews with 5 stars, but maybe we were lucky
for reviews
