Need Urgent Help On RevContent's Conversion Pixel

Hey everyone,

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why my RevContent's conversion pixel is not working at all, I've followed everything laid out here:
https://faq.revcontent.com/customer/...s-using-voluum

But all the conversions are still not firing back to RevContent...

Anyway, must I use the image pixel from Voluum that start with the <img> tag and put it into my affiliate network in order to make it work?

Or I can only make the conversion pixel work without any affiliate networks and it must be placed on the exact thank-you page?

I'm super frustrated now and hope someone could really help as my AM at RevContent including my AM at the CPA Network both failed to help me now.

Your help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Image conversion pixels need to be placed in the affiliate network so that when the visitor hits the thank-you page, it fires.

Occasionally some offers don't support pixels.

There is also a postback option now.

Thanks a lot buddy for the quick reply!

You mean a postback option available on RevContent you mean? Do you have any ideas how we could get access to that?

Thanks once again.

Just ask your rep. Need different api key from the one in your account though.

Hey mate, I was able to get my rep to enable the s2s for me, but I have another problem now which my rep can't confirm, hope that you could help.

So my link is as below:

http://www.example.com/index.php?widgetid={widget_id}&contentid={content_ id}&boostid={boost_id}&targets={adv_targets}&var={ var}&img={img}&rc_uuid=<UUID>

Should I change my <UUID> token to {UUID} token in order to grab the unique id? Or both will work?

Thanks once again mate!

You don't need to add the revcontent uuid to your urls - it's added automatically just like the other fields are.

You just need to track the parameter in the external ID part of your Voluum traffic source, and pass it back via {externalid} in your postback.

I have the same problem with Revcontent now. S2S tracking is not an option any more as my account manager said. Seems like they stopped offering it.
Do I need to place Voluum's image pixel at the affiliate network on "Thank You" page? What happens if my Voluum's postback URL is also set up at the same affiliate network?

And a related question: Do I need to make my Voluum's domain SSL compliant in order to use the image pixel from Voluum at Clickbank? (So that Clickbank conversions would be reported back to Revcontent)

Too bad not every offer works on an image pixel, you will need to ask your affiliate manager or going direct with the offer's owner to make RevContent's pixel work. Otherwise there isn't much we can do now. Some offers do accept image pixel though, so it's better to ask your AM beforehand.
