Problem uploading banner ads on Jumptap

Hey guys,

I'm facing this really weird problem.

I have some 300x50 banners in a campaign but I've
not been able to upload my 300x250 ones.

The sizes are right, the weight is below 40kb.

I've talked to my AM and am waiting to hear back from him,
but if any of you have encountered this before I'll be very
grateful, it's been bugging me for a few days now!

Try to use "Provide Banner URLs". It works for me.

Hey Andy, you've got to upload it onto your server then?

Did you have the same problem with uploading the banner directly?

No. I pick up the creatives from network directly. You only need to upload them to your server when you are using your tailor-made banners.

I get that error sometimes its a pain. Just do it again with a different browser. I found Chrome to work best.

@andy008 yeah I'm using my own custom banners.

@Alex tried both FF and Chrome Fustrating to no end! And my AM isn't responding to me.

Dunno what to tell you. Your rep is your best friend at mobile networks (-admob).

I've tried everything from switching computers to creating a
new campaign to submitting a support ticket to bugging my
rep to no end .

Arghhh!!!!!

Try reducing the size of the image. It helps sometimes.

I kept getting this problem today, until I realised that my banners were saved with the suffix 'jpeg'. I changed them to 'jpg' and it worked fine.

Um unfortunately mine are all jpg already.

Reducing the size.. They're all below 40kb but I'll give it a shot since I've
tried everything I could think of.

It's also worth trying andy008's recommendation. That's how I upload 90% of my banners to JT. If the banners are on the ad network, just copy their location & paste that into JT. If you created them, just upload them to your server & grab the link from there. Works 100% of the time (as long as sizes / extensions are correct).

When using the urls does Jumptap copy the image to their server or is the image served from your server?

Should be pretty easy to test.

Load up a set of banners, save...delete from server and check to see if they're still there.

epicskillz,
try to open your jpg image on your computer and than save as gif and try to upload again to jumptap. I had the same problem and that worked for me

^^That would 95% look like total shit. Jpegs and gifs algos are so different that saving as gif would make it look terrible - or it would weigh a lot. I think it's either weight or dimensions problem, so I'd double-check that.
Epicskillz, if you want I can take a look at your banner and may be re-do it; since it's network default banner, it won't hurt you in any way.

Usually I re-do most of the banenrs from networks: they're too heavy and not optimized. Mine are clean and weigh like 3 times less -> profit!

What would be awesome is if you recorded yourself doing it and uploaded it here...or just provided a simple (?) step-by-step.

^Liane: not a bad idea, I might just do it, why not! Not sure about the video (haven't done it in a while), but I will be working with some banners soon, so I will post em here with step-by-step, sure!
