Hey Stackers,
While going thru the 14 Days to Master Mobile Course I've heard the Angry Russian mention the lowermybills.com ads.
I did some further research and here are 1003 CRAZY next-level banners. Hover over them and you'll see the animation, it's hilarious but also great for some inspiration!

Enjoy!
yes I have done swfs
only issue is every network is a bit dif....clicktags can be a pain....besides that you can do more animation wise.....and get better quality images and movement...due to how the compiler works for a swf
besides that ctr wise...I don't think its a huge deal....cuz its really not all about ctr anyways.....but you can do some very cool targeting things with swfs you cant do with gifs
I farkin heart lowermybills creativity! Awesome find Nils. I've tried similar creatives before and they have owned. The had this creative with a dancing woman that kicked butt.
yeah these are definitely some of the best online ads in the game... rarely do you see someone pour so much effort into it... and they come out with new ones all the time... i bet the CTR dominates.
Hey...
Lorenzo, you mean this ad:
http://www.moat.com/search/results?brand[0]=lowermybills.com&ad=844943
Moat definitely has some interesting collection of ads. Flash designers are hard to come by or expensive... So I'll decompile the Flash ads, swap out the images with my own and launch them.
Could someone share how to download / edit the ads?
No she was a black animated character. For downloading you can use a variety of add ons/extensions for firefox or chrome. Just search for downloading/exporting media or flash.
To edit it's a bit trickier, but if you can convert them from swf to gif, you can import using photoshop, and just tweaking using that.
I could make a video when I get back in town next, unless someone can do it faster?
heres a way to do it - but Zo's or Bacon's might be quicker (ie DownloadThemAll plugin with Firefox):
1) download and install jdownloader, then run it http://jdownloader.org/
2) enable the option so it watches for copied links

3) get chrome
4) enable web developer tools
5) view -> developer -> developer tools
6) select the network tab
7) hover over the ads you want to grab so it shows the popup
8) you will see the swf URL in the network tab at the bottom, like so:

9) rightclick the pagetitle of each entry in the network tab (for the swf ones) and click Copy Link
10) go to jdownloader, and select the "Link Grabber" tab
11) select entries, right click and choose "Continue with Selected..."

Hey presto
Easier way to do all of this with Firefox/Chrome. Get the Firebug extension fire it up, go to the moat page with the ads, click inspect element Follow the instructions

After you copied the address of the .swf file paste it into the address bar and load it up. http://moatsearch-data.s3.amazonaws....3b9aee7030.swf
It will take the whole screen.File-> Save page as -> and save the .swf on your PC
In order to edit it you need to decompile it from .swf to .fla (I use swf decompiler http://www.sothink.com/ you need the full, paid version in order to export it with the Action script too, so you have to buy it or download the cracked version which is available on piratebay)When its decompiled to .fla open it with Adobe Flash Professional and edit it, then go to File- > Publish Settings, and choose where you want to save it as .swf and click publish
Thanks for the amazing share nils.
