It’s been a bumpy ride so far in 2018 – processing closures with the biggest high-risk banks in the game, crack downs on social media platforms with compliance/battling fake news, and major reductions in cap across the industry when compared to 2017. As quickly as that dark cloud came into the forecast without notice, it’s now moving on out and we’re starting to see the sunshine again. The big players on the processing side are approving applications again – Now advertisers can grow their infrastructure to allow for thousands of sales per day. And on the other side of the spectrum, Jumbleberry is preparing for the flood of new cap and new offer launches to take advantage of long term traffic opportunities.
THE BIG MOVE TO INTERNATIONAL…
If you’re waiting on the sidelines until ‘things get better’ in the US – there’s been A TON of action in international markets. The largest domestic affiliates have now moved their traffic into AU, FR, UK.
What we’ve seen so far internationally:
• Increased stability in cap
• Local processing and fulfillment
• Less customer complaints, which helps keep campaigns active for longer
• Increased stability in traffic/accounts
• Hand delivered campaigns and translations available
• GEPC tests available
Most affiliates are gravitating to diet and skin in these geos, while muscle/ED is beginning to trend upward.
DOMESTIC TRAFFIC AND CAP IS TOO BIG TO IGNORE…
For those powering through the US market – the call now is to rebuild traffic infrastructure for the next large wave of traffic. Account providers are planning new methods to increase lifespan and there are signs of early success with the trailblazing affiliates committed to running in the US. Affiliates have been leaning on us to introduce them to alternative traffic sources as a way to diversify their traffic – Native, Email, and Push so far are all on the table.
Due to traffic volatility, US advertisers at Jumbleberry are:
• Increasing their cap
• Increasing their CPAs
• Reverting back to 2 step trials
Reach out to learn more about getting setup on any of the mentioned sources.
This signals the end of the ‘Race To The Bottom’. Green pastures are here.
