Who's making money dating POF? (31)
I was thinking of switching traffic sources since im just blowing money on POF promoting dating. Is anyone out there still making money on POF? I spoke to a few affiliates and they told me that its over saturated. It sucks when i already blew near 2k and never saw a profit.
It annoys me when people say there is no money on POF. Sure its Saturated, but saturation doesn't mean no money, just gotta not run the same stuff that everyone is running haha. I know many people including myself on this forum who are making decent money by anyones standards on POF and yes you still can make $x,xxx a day on POF

Im pushing dating... Im applying everything i learned in this forum and still no luck. I guess if everyone is pushing dating, i should find something else to promote...

The targeting is your friend on POF. It helps you weed out non converters and gives you the ability to tailor your ads to specific groups. I would spend a day spying on ads and playing with all the targeting options. Brainstorm and write down angle ideas for the different targeting options. There are plenty of untapped segments of people to target with the right ad. There are not many places that give you the targeting options that POF does. Good Luck.
A really simple non-dating offer I suggested to a friend was using the drinking filter to target for a DUI leadgen for an internet law agency. It'd probably be a nice low-income long-term campaign if you got the creatives right.
honestly pof is becoming more and more complicated. ive been doing it for months and was up, but now im came ccrashing down, nothing is converting anymore

Are the 110x80 ads even worth pursuing or is the bread-and-butter in the IAB ads?
i would stick with 110x80s or the new 300x110s that mr.green did a case study about...after u master those, move onto IABs
you can make money with every single option with POF, you just gotta not be lazy and start your own path

Q4 is pretty bad for conversions, optimize your campaign for Q1 and you'll be set :-D
q4 is the story of the affiliates life, SUCKS. get your stuff ready for january as that is for me atleast the highest rev. month of the year.
My secret affiliate confession is that I've spent over $1500 with POF and I think in total would have brought in around $100 in revenue from that. I just don't understand it. I deposited an extra $100 in my account on a whim one day though so that eventually I'll have to go back and get used to it.
I agree as November and December have been tough promoting dating offers on PoF. The traffic is there but conversions are low and erratic from day to day. It's easy to blow a grand or more a week for minimal return. People are so busy with Christmas shopping, work shows, family get togethers, holidays etc. However, I'm looking at what people would want at this time of year. Any ideas?
My conversions on POF have been better lately. POF is pretty EZ to get working. But if I recall correctly, I know how you feel. I think I blew a grand there b4 I made any money. If you want to be a dating affiliate then POF is a good place to start to see what works and does not.
AM is a bit of a mindset thing. Try not to look out there and say, "What offer should I promote?" Stick to a Niche, like dating, and become an expert at it. Then master the Traffic Source. And you will start making money.
The true secret to making money with dating on POF is to target extremely ugly, fat, drunken men or women over 30 who have an income of $1,000,000 per year or more. Grab their screen names and then make a dating account on POF. If you are scared to use your real picture, just steal some photos from Google Images of models. Use your best pickup lines or if you don't have any, buy some cheap PUA PLR and learn how to attract these warpigs. Go on a few dates making sure that they pay for you, declare your ever-lasting love for them and then marry them. Remember to refuse a prenuptial agreement. Divorce them when you feel the time is right and collect half of their earnings. Congratulations, you are now rich due to dating on POF!!!

Find a hot offer (skin, bizop, ecig, etc...).
Don't be afraid to move outside of 110x80s. Call out demos in your creatives and animate them.
The beauty of POF is that the demos can be tightly targeted. So do a little quantcast/adplanner/alexa/compete research, get an advertorial setup and call out your target demos inside the LP as well to increase CTRs from LP to offer.
^^^^ worked for me pretty well in the past.
Only thing that sucks is creatives burn out faster on POF than I'd like.
i was pushing ecigs along with some other projects...had a couple of conversions with ecigs
but dropped it because it did not turn out as well as the other stuff was working on...
maybe my images were not killer enough
im sure a more dedicated POFer could make it work in this vertical
