Making landing pages for Pop traffic - Tips?
Hey Guys,
Here's a topic that i don't see covered often right now, and people don't seem to touch it - Furthermore, it seems like most affiliates don't seem to make landing pages, OR those who do, and are adept at it, hide it from adplexity since we don't see regular new additions to the landers which come up.
I'd like to make some landing pages myself and it seems to me that the key feature with successful landing pages is that they are straight up lying to the consumer...
ie, pretending to be associate with their carrier, or with a big brand - overall, a big masquerade with the key goal to TRICK the consumer into believing that there is some sort of reputable entity behind the ad,
Two key features in SWEEPSTAKES landers:
a) Landing page appears to come from an existing, well known brand that is hopefully easily recognized by the consumer
b) Landing page is targeting that consumer specifically - and that the offer is not available to the general public - but to the specifically to the person viewing it.
What are everyone's thoughts on this, and what are some tips for making landing pages that you all suggest (Marketing, NOT delivery optimization) -
I'm specifically in the SWEEPSTAKES vertical and am referring to it as well, but would like to know about landers for APP INSTALLS as well.
Any info about writing good copywriting for POP traffic 2018 in general as well...

This is the nature of advertising in general, you have to grab the interest of the user somehow ... and as in any part of life, you can either be creative or resort to lying.
Often it's just about one word...
1. Special Offer for Samsung s8 users.
2. Special Offer for Samsung s8 users ONLY!
First one is just creative, since the offer is good for Samsung s8 users, but not exclusively. You got their interest, but you're not lying. The effect of such 2 ads will be similar.
I'm sure you've seen plenty of such examples ... you are infected VS you are infected, you won VS you can win ...
You got the logic behind this right though, the more you can make the user believe that they are getting an exclusive offer, that not everyone has access to, the better the results will be.
Another thing that you are right about, is the absence of creativity in the AM world, affiliates got used to copy each other stuff and they do not innovate. But there is a reason for this too, these LPs work, so why reinvent the wheel? I'm a big fan of giving the ripped LPs a bit of personal touch though. I always change them in some way, often it just takes a different image or a small change in the headline and thats it.

I agree with Matuloo here!
Altough I would go a bit deeper, in general you have to follow the AIDA model. Attention, Interest, Desire, Action.
I can make tons of example of this, but I think it's quite clear.
The main thing, you need to analyse each prelander and you should understand why something work or why it doesn't. If you don't understand it. You cannot reproduce it and then you will not develop any skills.
At Traffic Company we are able to create unique landers for our partners/affiliates, so if you have special needs, but you don't know or you are not able to create a nice lander, just hit us up!
Cheers!
