Smartlink Malware Issue (7)

Smartlink Malware Issue

Hey Guys,

You always have answers for everything. Maybe you can help on this one.

I was having pretty good ROI direct linking to a smartlink network, but my camps keep getting rejected for malware or "link flagged by google". I was running mainstream, mobile, pop traffic.

When I ask the traffic source for the link its never my Voluum camp link, its always a link within the smartlink. My camps either get suspended or they are getting rejected upfront.

Anyone else having this issue or have any work arounds?

Thanks.

Your rep or traffic source support should be able to tell you which domain name behind the smart link is currently flagged. Based on that you can then ask your offer source to replace it and resume the traffic.

Thanks for replying.

I've gotten the link, submitted to the offer network and relaunched. It continues to get rejected with newer domain. I don't want to get my account blocked by these traffic sources and screw myself.

It's pretty common with Smartlinks.
I experienced it myself several times so I stopped running Smartlinks directly.
I only use them to splittest Smartlink on BB vs # on BB.
As nice as it is to have thousands of landers and offers in a self optimizing link, I absolutely prefer to keep control over what I am running.

Twinaxe is right, these problems are pretty much inevitable when running smartlinks, aggressive offers are always used at some level.

Some networks offer the option to filter the offers a bit though, I know that Kimia had this for example ... that way it was possible to keep the most aggressive offers out. Not sure how many smartlink networks offer this though. Might be worth asking about it for sure.
