Hi there!
I’ve been active in FB advertising for about 2 years now, mainly running BH mobile content/pinsubmits/ccsubmits on FB and INSTA.
We all know fb can be pretty tricky about this kind of advertising, so I’d like to share some insights with you that have helped me make profits in fb advertising.
Before you get started:
You always risk getting banned. Expect it. Deal with it.
FB has everything under a magnifying glass right now. Stay under the radar.
No cloaking needed (comes in handy with the current
Host your prelander on a (safe) domain (click ad --> prelander --> campaign page)
Needed:
Warmed up fb (ad)account
Campaign (I've always done this with VIP Response and it has always worked for me)
Domain where you can host your prelanders that has not been flagged by FB
Quiz/survey prelanders have always worked well for me (instant approval)
Warming up:
I’ve experienced lately that FB is not too thrilled when you make new fb fanpages for every brand/campaign. That’s why I like to warm up a fanpage that is a bit more broad so you can run multiple brands from it.
(also, you'll warm up the page AND the ad account so that's a win-win right there!)
For example: Shopping voucher/giftcard. Run this on a warmed up fanpage that is dedicated to fashion or something similar. Pages named STYLISH or HIGHSTREET FASHION do the trick. Just add any fashionable image to the fanpage, doesn’t have to be branded either. A generic page like that means usability for more GEOs since ‘fashion’ and ‘style’ are globally used and understood words.
The ad:
Image:
Don’t be too picky here and take a lot of different images. Don’t even think about using the official logo as an img.
Find as many images as possible and just TEST. I’d go for storefronts, instore pictures, article pictures where it says the brand but not too obviously, shopping bags, check-out counters, employees wearing the brand’s work-clothes, price tags, wrappers, etc. Instagram is a goldmine for finding images. Just search for #brandname, lots of fans take pictures of their purchases with the brand tags/bags/labels visible.
Try 3-4 adsets. Each adset contains about 3-4 images. After a while you can already tell which images perform best. You’ll find that out soon enough as FB rates them on relevance. You could try the ‘badly performing’ images in a new adset with another headline/text to see what happens.
Titles
Now the text, titles and headlines you use are best kept short ant to the point. Don’t go too aggressive or guarantee that people will win. I usually use a survey/quiz like prelander and make it sound like a challenge: “Tap/click here for your chance to win XXX! Just try it – It’s easy!”
You can use a visible url that LOOKS branded but obviously isn’t, like yourprimark.co.uk/enter_survey
Keep your angles simple. People want free stuff, easy as that. Get to the point in a few words. Check your calendar to see if there is any holiday coming up (Travel vouchers + Valentine’s day = surprise your loved one with a romantic trip!)
Targeting
Women above 30 are very eager to click (sorry ladies!)
Run it on mobile newsfeeds only (this goes for fb and insta)
If you have a branded campaign, don’t just add this brand to interests. Press that ‘suggestions’ button and see what pops up. You can always choose to narrow your targeting later on.
Finetuning
Shut ads with poor performance/high cpc down, check your stats to optimize your ad. Make sure the ad is clean by deleting negative comments and blocking words like ‘scam, subscribe, spam, cost” in your page settings.
I'm sure many of you already know these things. It's what works for me so if I can help anyone with this knowledge, that's great!
If you still have questions, tips, tricks or just want to have a chat you can always add me on skype: anouk.vipresponse
What kind of ad you use on fb?
Video Ad? Picture ad?
You run your ad as Video Views, or Post engagement or Landing Page Views, etc
Intresting insights mate . .
I have few questions
1. How much time one need to warm up facebook page. I mean should wait till some x number of likes or after x number of posts.
2. Do you have some insights about lander. How it should be not to get ban from facebook.
3. What should be the avg payout of such offers and what geos should target as a begginer ?

When you do it in GR or CY for exmaple are you just use english ads and landers?
and
when you do it with "traffic" in adsmanager i think you do not track conversions, right? you just focus on getting on cheap clicks or do you insert the facebook pixel anywhere?
hadomi, regarding your first question ... translate ads/landers into a local language. For the majority population in GR, English language is not their first or secondary language. It can work with EN for sure, but you will probably achieve higher CR with GR language. Not sure for CY tho.
Yes, could be.
Anyways, translating sweeps landers on Fiverr is really cheap and fast.
