Help with Zeropark Bidding
I'm currently running a campaign in Belgium on Zeropark. I am starting the campaign targeting Android and wifi only (carrier just doesn't seem to convert well with this offer). Problem I am having is the recommended bid for Tier 2 (Belgium) premium PPV is 0.0027. However, when I search volume statistics on Zeropark website the AVG bid for Belgium is 0.0014 which is way below my recommended bid by Zeropark. My avg CPM in Voluum stats is 0.003.
Am I paying way more than I need to be to get initial results from this campaign? I'm spending alot in traffic but getting few conversions. Conversions have mainly come from some random targets with a very low "top bids".
Should I lower my bid to the AVG bid for this country of 0.0014 instead of the "recommended bid" of 0.0027?
I have the hardest time finding a sweet spot for bids, they are all over the place. I just wish I knew what a good starting bid was for my campaigns.
The only problem I see with Zeropark is that there is no language targeting. My offer is in Dutch Language. But 50% of belgium speaks Dutch and the other 50% French. I am actually getting more conversions from the French language in Zeropark which is just odd. Horrible ROI either way, not sure if I should just kill this campaign all together. With a bid of 0.003 on RON PPV my roi is about -85%
Vertical is Sweeps.

Hello!
Usually I use Average bid + 20%. So I recommend to use this one, then you can look at your results and make your bid lower/higher. Based on my tests you will get decent amount and quality of traffic even with 0.0005 bid. So if campaign doesn’t show you good result, you can try minimum bid. Often it works and you don’t have to overpay.
Also I recommend to find some offers for FR language and send this traffic throw your tracker to this offer. If you can’t find, I usually use Monetizer.

Thanks for the tip!
I took the AVG bid for Belgium which was 0.0014 and I set my Campaign bid at 0.0017

That is right! But actually try also low bid. 0.00051 or something. Sometimes there are no big difference in traffic volume and quality.

There is no -one-fits-all solution here ... bids change based on competition and that is different from one Geo to the next. You need to run some tests to find out what bid level gives you the best price/performance ratio.
You need to test several bid levels and compare the results. The general rule is that the higher quality placements should also be the most expensive, however in reality, sometimes it's not the case and you will be getting better results with the minimum bids, or very low levels.
What I like to do with new sources/placements is to start at the lowest bid to see if there is any traffic to be had at that price. The next step is to bid the average to see what the increase in volume would be. Then I take it higher, trying to find the spots where majority of the competitors fall off. That gives me the bid level I have to go to, in order to get maximum volume. And I try to optimize the campaigns a bit lower than that, as I dont want to run into bidding wars just yet. If I happen to see good CVR with all bid levels, I setup several campaigns by using staggered bids.
