What is Monetizer?

Can someone explain how this network works? I've seen the name in a few threads and decided to join but I do not know what it is? Thanks.

Short explanation:
It´s a platform where you send traffic to a Smartlink and not to specific offers.
The platform then has it´s algorhythms to check your traffic segment (Geo, connection, carrier, brand, model etc) and based on the outcome will show the user best working landers/offers for that traffic.
Sure there is more to say about but this is the basic concept how it works.

Sorry, I also do not know what Smartlinks are. What are they used for?

Smartlink is an url (link) that you will send traffic to, but it will NOT JUST redirect the user to an offer, like a standard offer url would. Smartlinks use advanced algorithms to analyze every click you send them and redirect it to that particular offer that shows best performance for that specific visitor type, based on past performance. Let's say you send a visitor from the UK, who is browsing on a samsung s8 phone, is connected via orange carrier and browses on chrome ... the smart link will check the past data and send this click to the offer that seems to be converting UK, s8 chrome users on organge the best.

Smartlinks are great to monetize cheap mixed traffic, that you don't know much about in terms of demographics and interests ... so instead of rotating a bunch of offers and blindly testing them, smartlinks will use past data to try to optimize it the best. Used to work wonders with 3G mobile traffic not so long ago.

Monetizer is also great for monetizing all your clicks that are wrong geotargeted or you can use their smartlink as a back-button redirect.
