I have a page with 10k followers on facebook in which I sell some gym products. Facebook is very unpredictable these days and only god knows if one day they will change their policies again or even worse- close my page with no reason. So I want to collect as much personal info from my followers.
Is building an email list works these days as in the past (with all the filters that gmail has)? sms list? whatsapp? telegram?
Whats the best way to collect data so if one day facebook closes my page , I will still have a way to reach my followers?

I would be careful with building e-mail list as of the GDPR starting end of May. Perhaps you can setup a relevant website and push them to that for updates, info and discounts. Monetizing the website would be a second step and from their you can also grow via other traffic sources so you don't solely rely on FB.
At the end having an e-mail list would be ideal, but I advice to dive into the new regulations well!
