Ran my first mobile campaign but failed! (6)

Ran my first mobile campaign but failed!

No big deal. This isn't the first campaign that failed (Failed multiple times from FB ads which is MUCH strict than CPA marketing). But it is the first failed mobile campaign. When I say failed, I'm just referring to the approval aspect of my campaign.

So running 3 Anti-Virus offers I got from my networks, and ripped landing pages as well as translating them, I got disapproved for trying to run on PropellerAds. The reason:

"Your creatives should not contain the words like “your software is outdated”, “your device is infected”, “viruses found” etc. No misleading ads, providing false info to the user"

I did do my spy research and found that many of these affiliates are running these same landing pages on similar traffic sources as well as the same one with data from Adplexity.

Now that I've learned this, my question is:

How come other affiliates were able to run these landing pages?

How should Anti-virus offers be promoted in the first place? (Since I already did my spy research)

And

What can I do to fix this?

I would assume just change the copy.

There are 2 options here basically :

1. Legit one : change the copy to "your device MIGHT be infected, "check if your software is up to date to protect yourself against possible viruses" ... you get the idea.
2. Blackhat : start cloaking.

The aggressive LPs you see in adplexity are cloaked from the most part, some are old campaigns that have been overlooked by the approval staff from one reason or another ... etc.

Cheers,
Matej.

Interesting! What would a super affiliate like yourself do in this scenario?

If I run blackhat cloaking could I potentially be banned from the traffic source like PropellerAds?

The last thing I would want is a permanent ban.

I'm not cloaking, never done that and probably won't do that anytime soon either. It's harder this way, profits are smaller but it's more sustainable and I hate to play hide&seek games with the sources and networks.

Yes! you're first advice worked! I re-worded the copy and it seems like it passed and now the offers are running.

Is there a chance that PropellerAds or other traffic sources double check and stop the campaigns? I know this tends to happen in Facebook where they'll accept it the first time and eventually reject it from double auditing. Just curious how it works in mobile.

They all do some repeat checks from time to time, but affiliates rotate LPs all the time
