Do Health Insurance offers work on networks such as InMobi or Traffic Vance ?

Hi all,

Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong forum, but I plan on putting together a mobile campaign for a health insurance offer. I would need to start everything from scratch -- creating the ads, making the landers and then obviously creating and running the campaigns on different networks. I've browsed through the threads here on STM and I've also tried to find health ins campaigns on Adplexity but I haven't come across anything!

Is Health Insurance one of those verticals that doesn't usually do well on ad networks or am I possibly looking in the wrong places?

Are there any affiliates who have experience with promoting Auto/ Health/ Life Insurance offers? And if so, what platforms and networks worked best for you and how did you go about setting up these campaigns? What traffic sources did you use? Would you suggest mobile networks over desktop? Did you find that mobile pop campaigns worked best or Adwords PPC campaigns etc.? Apologies for all of the back to back questions lol.

Thanks in advance guys

- Nadine

Health insurance where?

Insurances will not work on pops, unless you have a very good prelander. Pops need low-key impuls offers heavily and in general insurance offers are not (unless it's a real good offer with incentive for example).

I have run some insurances on FB with succes, but that was in the Netherlands and our insurance system regarding health is kinda different than other geo's. Only end of the year people jump over to new health insurances, but that's not the case in UK for example. So closely investigate how "hot" insurances are per geo.

E-mail and Adwords work best for insurances in general by the way.

There is a reason why you don't see many ads on these channels for these products. I would not waste time or money on this, this is like trying to sell a $300 Michelin star dinner at a McDonalds.

You definitely will not be able to do email after May 25th in Europe.

You kinda right, unless you just follow the rules exactly. I know lots of e-mail guys have their things straight to proceed with e-mail marketing + affiliate.
Not sure how "straight" it will be, but I know they are going to continue.

Hi eurosen, sorry I should have mentioned that this is for health insurance in the US

Hi stickupkid, ok that makes a lot of sense. I've been wondering why I've yet to discover much on spy tools, I guess I've been looking in the wrong places. I've ran campaigns on AdWords before but as you can imagine it cost a fortune for each keyword. And this is for US health insurance by the way, I'll definitely have to check out email. Thank you!

I see what you mean, thanks for the analogy haha. I'll have to reconsider my ad strategy and look into other sources etc. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Nadine

If you really want to stick to insurance campaigns I suggest to start with Facebook. Try to get look-a-like audiences from advertisers/networks and test around with loads of angles and images.
To start with e-mail from scratch, especially at this moment with the new regulations @cmdeal mentioned, you are putting yourself to a really big challenge.

Facebook is the most easy way to start and test immediately.
