Facebook dynamic parameters and Voluum

Hi Guys,

I have a quick question, Do dynamic parameters in Facebook work?

I followed this guide https://Voluum.com/blog/track-facebook-ads-voluum/ and it states that the following dynamic parameters are available in facebook

source={{site_source_name}}
placement={{placement}}
ad_id={{ad.id}}
adset_id={{adset.id}}
campaign_id={{campaign.id}}
ad_name={{ad.name}}
adset_name={{adset.name}}
campaign_name={{campaign.name}}
The problem that I am seeing is that that they are not working. In voluum for ad_name all I am seeing is {{ad.name}}. This is bad as I can't see what ad my clicks and conversions are coming form. This makes it impossible to optimize.

Any help would be great.

Are you adding the parameters in the FB campaign (under tracking/URL parameters)?

Yes I am putting it in Facebook under tracking URL Parameters

it is strange on further investigation source and placement seem to be working just not any of the others.

There was another thread on here a month or two ago where someone couldn't get the adset_id to work. It has nothing to do with Voluum, it's because fb for whatever reason is no longer dynamically populating that param. The solution was to hardcode them.

That sucks, but I guess if that is the only way then that is what I will have to do.

I put the info in manually and it is working but it really makes me question the benefit of the tracking. I guess is shows the IP city and so on, but at this time I am using my adsets and ads to do targeting and need that info.

What ad type is this with?

I have a suspicion they work on some ad types but not others.

We have also seen some customers with FunnelFlux having no luck, others it seems to work fine for...
