New to Native

Hello Everyone,

Im new to native just getting started. I come from facebook and adwords currently spending $100,000 to $300,000 per month depending on the offers I have running and how their doing.

Looking to spend $10,000 to $20,000 testing to crack the native code, getting my accounts setup with mgid, outbrain, and revcontent. I submitted a few offers, everything is waiting on approval. I also sent a list of offers to my account rep at revcontent to look at that came from my affiliate manager that said they were doing good on native to see if they will get approved by compliance, I am assuming most wont (nutra trial, celebrities, etc)

I am real new as to whats acceptable on native and really not tied into any vertical, typical I run offers that are recommended and doing well in the industry.

Im usually run landers provided by network, seems most here are ripping landing pages and hosting themselves. Is their anyone you recommend to do this.

My plan is to start with about 3 offers to test, with facebook and adwords, typically I look for a offer that converts period, then can tweak other things, dont want to invest in one offer in native and it doesnt work out.

Anyone want to start a small mastermind/skype group for new to native to bounce ideas and help till we get going and spending more?

Hi Lorenzo,

Good to see you taking up Native!

To see what's acceptable on Native, it depends on the TS. It would be a good idea to check with your rep before running the campaigns to ensure that it doesn't get denied.

I am not sure about running landers provided by the network, I always rip and edit my landers to ensure that they work well.

Once you have got a winning combo, try to find similar creatives or LPs and use.

You can add me on Skype (DM me your ID). I won't be able to do a MM since I'm already part of another one but would love to discuss.

Nice you're in good shape going into native then. My advice would be to start with revcontent, as I think their platform is superior in terms of optimization and scaling.

Pretty sure the landers provided by a network aren't going to fly. Celebs are pretty much a no go, at least in US. Trials are fine, just need to add a disclaimer. But many trials aren't native compliant, at least for revcontent. They need to have a "I agree to the terms.." type sentence above the order button.

Your best bet is honestly to finding out what works is just looking through sites on your desktop or phone, or using a tool like adplexity. And communicating with your traffic rep. Often I find what's doing really well for others on facebook just doesn't work for native for whatever reason.

Absolutely, finding the best offer in a given vertical and geo is step 1. I'd recommend for revcontent you start campaigns on brands and push traffic. If you can't at least close get to break-even on those, then the offer probably isn't good enough to work at scale.

Agree with what thedudeabides just mentioned above.

Just a minor addition - I have found MGID working better for me (also I've a super awesome rep there - Jason) compared to RC. One of the problems (in my case) with RC is that they are a lot stricter in what they allow to run.

However, from what I know and have heard, RevContent has a much better quality traffic. So if you are running something that does not has an issue with compliance, RC would be ideal. Otherwise for cheaper bids and to test things in the start, you can have a look at MGID.
