Porn Ads Campaign. YAYYYYYY FOR PORN

So I figured since Ive watched porn all my life I might as well give a campaign a go. After all I am the target market.


Offer Promoting : Just Hookup
Ad network. Exoclick

The angle I chose was to shock the users with things that girls do. Figured girls eating ass is as grimey as you can get.

I found an existing banner I seen on most porn sites and decided to use it as a base and change pics/title

I tested 25 ads

Heres some of the ads I used





Ran $100 to it and made $47

12 conversions at 3.5 and 1 conversion at $5 from another network.

So I sat back and figured how to make it profitable

I deleted 5 ads that ate half my budget and only gave me 4 conversions.
Hit up my Am and ask for a pay bump to $5-$6
Lower my bid
That would make me Profitable already

Other things is use the conversion pixel from exoclick to see where the sales are coming from.

Things I Took away from the campaign
-The ads that had pictures of girls eating ass didnt turn out profitable. Im guessing those ads put the user in a frame of mind to see a video of the picture or somethign not sign up for dating.
-The pictures of teen looking girls performed the best
-Dont be to worried about having them click the ad too much. Be more concerned about having the user click the ad with the right expectations and desires triggered

Mistakes I made
-I targeted to many catrgories (big tits,anal, amatuer etc)
-Didnt make more variations of my banner not just change pictures of girls
-Didnt track conversions properly with the in house pixel. Now i dont know which sites made the sell


Strategies for the optimization of this campaign
-run campaign on ad networks that allow keywords and target keywords specific to that niche (rimjob,rimming etc)
-More variations of ads
-Run it internationaly in uk, and aus for cheaper clicks
-Get a pay bump
-Target other fetishes like "Meet girls that do anal" "Meet girls that do ass to mouth"

Oh by the way I used CPC not Cpm


Also want to say that this is the first time im giving back to the community.

If anyone has tips and suggestions for running on adult sites let me know.
Would love to hear your suggestions.

I've got no desire to go into the adult verticals but I'm always interested in what other people are able to do in it. What was your ending ROI on this campaign?

@garyp I was at .10 for the most part. I ran through $50 in 1 hour twice. ran it at 1pm eastern time and ran it at 11pm eatern time. $50 $50 each time.

Another thing to consider is that the pictures of girls eating ass would only appeal to a very small number of people because who wants to kiss a girl who's been tossing salads??

I would definitely choose another angle. Although, there's nothing to say that it wouldn't work! That has to appeal to a small percentage ( I would hope/think) of guys.

Maybe the dirty slut route? "She'll do whatever you desire!" "Daddy problems out the ass!" "Watch her ping-pong trick!" just a few off the brain.

Honestly, those are very good ads (that's hard to admit when a man's ass is showing) - strong call to action, familiar colors, eye catching pic etc

With adult I run cpm as you can often get cheaper traffic and more consistent volume. I tried CPC on EXO but it was nothing compared to CPM for me.

Hi,

Have you tried CPM yet on their Premium Sites? What kind of CTR are you getting?

Have been spending hard and cant seem to get CTR above 0.20% so the traffics expensive and I'm WAY off profitable.

hmmm, I showed this case study to my wife. She's not surprised it wasn't profitable.

She says "another man doesn't want to see another mans hairy ass."

But keep in mind she's not the demographic.

I think a better angle here would be a pic of a girl eating another girls ass, and you go for the guys that like bi chicks, which is all of them.

i'll second that.. those ass pics gotta go. I've made big money on adult traffic when the time was right. there is still money to be made but the ads that converted best were the ones that guys want to see. Those ass pics gave me a laugh. Then again u never freggin know there's some sick people out there. Are you using a LP or direct linking? Also using excoclik as my last source , I had some success with them but the saturation level right now is just a little to high for my liking. I sill run adult traffic , on probably 1/4 the scale I did 6 months ago. The best way to buy really is to just contact site owners and buy direct form them however be forewarned. Adult traffic , for dating , may convert well for you , but the quality of the traffic is not the best , so to keep yourself on an offer and not get blacklisted I would mix in some higher quality traffic.
