Taboola - Getting no traffic? (6)
I used to advertise on Taboola 1 year ago and had no problem getting huge amounts of traffic.
Now though I have several different campaigns approved and they basically get no traffic at all. Even if I bid $1 cpc I only get like 1-10 clicks/day. Tried experimenting with ALL possible campaign settings but I still get almost zero traffic.
Anyone experience something similar? And does anyone have a rep or manager there? I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone through their contact forms.
Hey Fors, usually Taboola sets an account inactive after 6 months of no use. But it will show you when you login “your account has been set to inactive “
Don’t use their contact forms (they don’t respond to those) , just send an email directly to support@taboola.com they should answer within 24hrs (from experience)
- is the creative ripped? Sometimes they "assume" how a creative will perform beforehand and they give it low priority in the serving queue.
- place the budget at the minimum and bid $3 to see if it at least gets some impressions going
- $2 bids are the norm now on some of my state targeted whitelist campaigns, traffic's gotten way more expensive there but you should have no issues receiving traffic with a ±0,3 bid running wide in the US
Could be several things, here's a check list below
- Balance in the account (their algo picks up on how much and how big of a balance you have in the account)
- No traffic for your specific targetting, Some sources have no ios traffic and vice versa for android
- Bids too low still
- If you let your account sit for a while, with no balance, you'll lose any momentum you had in the beginning with that initial campaign.
- their algo doesn't like your ads or CTR and know's best to serve to someone else who will spend.
There's prob a few others i can't think of right off the top of my head, but hope this helps.

What do you mean balance in the account? I though the only option was automatic billing where you get charged afterwards.
I'm targeting RON so should be tons of traffic, also creatives are fresh.
I uploaded a screenshot with some stats from last year and some from yesterday. It's essentially the same campaign, basically RON French or german mobile traffic. I used to get tons of traffic at below 0.10 cpc and now I get like 40 clicks/day even though the effective CPM is much higher.
