meta vs double-meta refresh

I understand the concept in basic terms.

But please enlighten me on this scenario.

I've got a good quality redirect source, that is unable to guarantee mainstream or adult % origin.
I've got an offer that is not overly sensitive, just doesn't want general adult traffic - which is quite generic in definition.

Please correct me if I'm wrong;

In campaign setup, I've got the opions to hide referrer based on

none - passes everything
meta refresh - passes only the LP URL - but slows down redirect speed
Double meta-refresh - Hides everything, but slows down, even more, the redirect speed - But in theory, there is no way for the offer owner to know the origin of traffic (except specific custom tracking tokens).

Is this correct?

It's not 100% bullet proof even with double meta... but it's better than nothing.

Based on my tests, the speed difference is not that bad, I didn't notice any drastic conversion decrease. Some people report big differences though ... what I found out is that POPs and redirects are more sensitive to this than banner clicks. It's also possible that some BOTs won't make it past the redirect, so that could explain part of the loss. The best would be to test this.

I also should say that all advertisers has their own systems, which monitor all your traffic. And you can't hide that. Even with 5 refreshes.

Yeas, this would be pop, which I know is more sensitive, but...
That was what I was trying to get at...
If it is not reliable, what is a practical case for meta or double-meta? Why not just select none for maximum performance?

I use 302 redirect. And I recommend you to do that. It's much better to be honest in this business. And build long-way relationships.

Yes, and all my energy is to establish myself in this industry, in that exact manner you speak of. That is who I am.

But to do so, one must master many arts. The first being, not to drown in the competition, and survive, for greater and more honorable adventures.
