Getting back to affiliate marketing, please suggest where should I start

Hello everyone, I hope you guys are having an amazing day.

My name is Lam and I am no new to affiliate marketing or this forum.

A little story about me:

I joined this forum last year and I started to learn about Pop traffic. After a lot of testing and struggles, I finally found the way to get all my campaigns profitable with CPI offers from Mpire. I was doing xxx$ profit a day and I thought that my life would get better from there. But when it was time to get my check, my affiliate manager told me that because my landing page was inappropriate (even though I checked with him 2 days before that and he said it was okay, still have the screenshot in case anyone wants to see), so they would not give my money. Note: I had been running that offer for almost the whole month and they told me that my landing page was inappropriate on the pay day. Why didn't they tell me sooner?

Anyway, I spent all my hard-earned money to buy traffic and was expecting to get a check in order to keep buying traffic.

I was devastated for the next few weeks, with less than $60 in my bank account. I decided to quit affiliate marketing and get a part time job in order to feed myself.

But I knew that my love for affiliate marketing would never die.

And here I am and ready to start over again.

I would be very grateful if anyone could suggest me should I start or what direction should I take?

Thank you for reading and look forward for your comments.

Sorry to hear that, I don't like when networks hold payments like this ... did you try to contact someone from management with the screenshot? Mpire is considered a solid network, I'm kinda surprised to hear this ... not gonna take side here since I don't know the details, but I would certainly try to use that screenshot in my favor if I was you.

Now back to what you should try now. Mobile is very hard to make money with, I wouldn't go back there. Leadgen, sweeps or adult dating is where you should look next. Or whatever you'd be able to run on facebook

Yes, I heard a lot of good reputation from Mpire too.

My affiliate manager tried to talk with his boss but they decided to not give me the payment at the end.

Thank you for your recommendations, I will start looking into them.

Hey man,

I bet you run something like UC Browser or Aliexpress that time

They had problems with the advertiser (not only Mpire, but all networks), I do not remember the details (long time ago), but I think they did reversal payments (in my case they cut some of upcoming payments).

Anyway welcome back!

I agree with Matej, basically I would give the same options + hope you have enough budget for those this time.
You will have to go through lot of testing again until you find your new thing.

I would start with pulling the top lists from your AMs and work out from there what's working and what not.

Seems like it could be one of the Chinese app owners indeed. We had issues with them too. The optimisation of these apps are quite difficult and can sometimes be unpredictable. I am happy to help you out here, if you want to start running apps again just let me know.

I was running a browser app. But the annoying/ sketchy thing about the network is that they let me run that landing page for the whole month, and when it was time for my paycheck, they mentioned the issue. Really sketchy don't you think ?

Thanks for the comment, I will keep your contact just in case I want to run CPI offers again.

It's really shady, I'm really surprised they pulled this on you ... Well, time to look for another network, Fabi who replied in this thread (gotzha), is a solid guy, talk to him, they have all kinds of offers.

This is when my affiliate manager said that my landing page was perfectly fine to run (just in case someone doubts what I said)

Does Mpire has anybody in this forum? I think they should explain this.

Would love to hear their side to the story too... not sure if they have an active STM account though.

To Lam: I remember you! It's been a while!

Very sad to hear what happened to you, but glad to see you back here giving it another try in spite of what happened. You're certainly very determined!

As for what's working: Matuloo and I are in the process of interviewing the most-known affiliates in this industry, plus various affiliate and traffic networks, to asking them that exact question. We're aiming to compile all the answers into a report in a few weeks' time. So - stay tuned!

In the meantime, like Matuloo suggested, try to learn FB if you have the budget and the persistence to crack something that has a steeper learning curve. You can still make profits from pop but it has gotten a lot more competitive since you were running camps last. If you wish to run pops again, make use of automation (theOptimizer/Optifyme/etc.), and test lots of traffic sources to avoid the worst competition.

Or, you could try your hand at ecommerce. Just note that the Shopify+dropshipping model is becoming less effective daily though, as more and more consumers are discovering that they can order from Aliexpress themselves directly. But if you'd be willing to go beyond that business model, for example by building a brand, sourcing directly from manufacturers, nurturing your customer list and selling to them again and again - you can build a long-term asset that will grow over time that you can eventually sell.

Welcome back to the game! And see you around!

Amy

As others in the thread already said, go with Gotzha.
They have lots of CPI offers as well as many other good ones.
For me they always were and still are a very solid network.
