Web push notifications

Hello,

I've been trying to find more info in this forum about the subject, but somehow I wasn't able to find too much of anything recent. So I was thinking, if I would get my pop traffic subscribe to push notifications (like "Click Allow to continue" or something like that) and then send them notifications with offers... sounds really good, but is there something that I don't know, that I haven't seen many landers asking for such permission? I've seen some, but still, not so many. And when trying to find info about the subject in here, I wasn't able to find anything recent (maybe I just suck as searching, I don't know).

So is there something obvious, that I am missing? Sure, one thing is that setting up those push notifications is not the easiest thing in the world (as I discovered recently), but still, I don't wanna believe that this is the reason. Or it's almost impossible to get people to subscribe to them? And of course, I am not talking about NOT Tier1 geos, as people there are usually too tech-savvy to fall for such tactics.

Anyone has a bit more experience with this?

Push notifications used to be huge in the mobile space couple years ago. Many people made fortunes with those, when it was new and unregulated. From what I understand, it went down a lot since it requires user consent and that's pretty hard to get. Try to run a test to see what your success rate would look like.

Thanks! By "user consent" do you mean user agreeing to receive them by pressing "Allow" in the popup? Or there is something more to it?

Depends on the operating system I suppose, the conditions for apps and websites will be different too ... not sure if you can even setup a push notification in iOS via a website anymore.

Yes, actually, I tried that a few months ago on Tier 3! I used Signal to get subscriptions but you also have services like PushCrew, PushEngage. I used POPS and the CR was about 10% with a non-spammy Lander, so pretty good!

The difficulties for me comes after, even if my Landers simply explained the idea (subscribe to get prizes you can win every day.) the CTR of the push messages was horrible and very few convert to the sweep!

That's my experience with it, but it certainly doesn't mean it would be like that for you!
Just keep in mind that sending 1k push messages can cost you only $0.50 with ProppellersAd!

Cheers and good luck to you
