About 2 weeks ago I started running ads to my general ecom store that's 100% in Japanese. I've ran ads for 8 products so far. My ads are performing well (3-8% Link CTR on video ads) and getting about a 4-6% conversion rate
This should be money, BUT my CPM ranges from $35-$50 on ALL the products I've tried. I've tried very targeted small audiences, interest-targeted large audiences, LAA, no interest audiences, long text and short texts, but I can't get a CPM even close to $20.
My FB page still has less than 50 likes/followers as I'm just inviting the ppl that have engaged with my ads, and I'm making 1 post a day on the page but with such few followers, the engagement is pretty negligible.
I've heard that doing FB Lives can have a positive effect for my CPM, but I don't live in a country where my products can arrive quickly for me to make FB Live videos with (customs might make me pay a stupid high fee or just steal it).
I know people in the US are able to get close to $10 CPM, so I don't see why I can't get to around $20 for Japan (even though Japan is the highest priced Geo on Facebook).
If anyone has suggestions for ways I can lower my CPM, please do share.
Thanks!
Is $35-$50 CPM normal for general targeting?
$35-$50 CPM is high for that friend , i recommend you to try to lower the bid and see the results
