Recommended Ad Servers For Media Buys

I am exploring doing some direct buys on mobile apps with the publishers. They are not setup with their own macros or tokens to pass back critical information to me. It appears I need an ad server to setup tags in order to gather this information and place my ad within their apps.

What cost effective solutions can you guys recommend for media buying across multiple mobile apps.... but going direct to them? I need to be able to track the app name the ad is being displayed on and none of them offer a dynamic token to pass back this info.

Thanks in advance.

This could be an option : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...t-an-ad-server

And on this url, they compare their pricing model to completitors : http://avidadserver.com/comparison/ so yo can check the listed alternatives too.

That looks really nice and what I need, however I saw some posts about AVID not being google certified. Is this something I need? If I plan to advertise on GDN why do you need a Google certified ad server? Just curious.

You won’t be able to add third party tracking tags, basically means you (well, the ad server) displays the actual advert not google.

Unless your seriously trusted or doing incredible volume it’s unlikely to get approved anyway.

If your planning to just run gdn, no need for an ad server anyway as google provides it all

Thanks for the response nick. So if I am trying to do direct buys in-app for a news source across many local markets, it seems like AVID would do the job then when they ask me for my tags so that I can track the app name, mobile device, brand OS version etc... ?

Yup, it should do the job. I believe that basically any adserver has some kind of support for tracking tags... at least some zones and banner IDs must be supported by all.
