Creating autoresponder

Hi lads,

so what is needed to create your own autoresponder, what software?

SMTP, hosting ofc, and something to create, send emails, handle lists etc?

Please help me

I use mailchimp, which is free up to 2000 subscribers.

We're above that, so have to be on a paid account, but it works well for the automation we've set up.

That's ecommerce abondened cart mails, but also "subscribe to get free ebook download" then follow up a email sequence at set intervals.

ActiveCampaign is also quite good - easy to create more complicated sequences with different paths depending on certain triggers/actions.

I used to use GetResponse, switched to Drip last year.

Love it so far, but it may not be the cheapest solution.

We need to create our own autoresponder, because not all providers loves nutra e-mails, and we as producers of nutra products got very big lists of customers and potential customers acquired by ourselves, and we are looking for a solution
