What makes affiliates happy?
Guys, on the eve of International Day of Happiness we want to launch a small survey. Answer one tiny question, please!
What are the main points that can make you happy? They shouldn't necessarily be related to affiliate marketing. Just want to know you more!

Clicking refresh button.
Profitable campaigns.
Happiness of my family.
My wife.
My dogs.
Coming up with something that works straight away.
Bitcoin going up.
Fact that I joined STM and was able to join the mobile train at the right time (life changing).
Many other things that I do not realise at the moment or yet.

Happiness is found in what fulfills you.
Financial success is great. It's hard to be happy when you're struggling to pay your bills... BUT, financial abundance doesn't guarantee your happiness.
Instead, do those things that fulfill you.
For me: Service to others. Helping to improve the lives of people I care about.

Thanks zorkanetwork for starting this thread - this one's going into next week's newsletter!
Here are some of mine (not necessarily AM-related):
-Meeting people that are genuine and sincere, that won't hesitate to help out others. Strengthens my faith in humanity.
-Bouncing ideas around with the rest of the STM/iStack team, seeing a project materialize as a result with everyone volunteering for parts of the project they know they can accomplish. And working with a team that is knowledgeable and skilled and respects everyone else's abilities and opinions.
-Testing out something new - whether it be a new type of offer or a new traffic source or a new angle or new campaign settings - and seeing good results!
-Pleasant surprises and "coincidences" such as coming across certain useful and relevant information just as I'm needing it, or someone telling me exactly what I'm needing to hear at the time.
-Being able to work from anywhere in the world I want (that has internet connection). Being able to just pick up and fly places at a moment's notice (I don't do that often, but knowing I have the freedom to do that should I choose to is delicious!)
-Having in my life people that love me, that I can love back.
-Living in a country where crime rate is low, with a roof over my head and food in my stomach. In fact, we're ranked the 7th happiest country in the world:
https://www.narcity.com/news/canada-...y-in-the-world
Air is clean, and I live in an area where there are lots of parks and trails and green. Awesome for walks.
-Last but not least: Giving out tips on the forums and then having members come back to report positive results = priceless! And the satisfaction has little to do with ego.
I LOVE doing rampages of appreciation on various aspects of my life - thanks for giving me yet another chance to do so! Namaste!

Hi, guys! Thank you all for your opinions. We've collected the responses from different forums and made an article.
What makes affiliates happy?
In March, 2012 at one of the UN sessions a new holiday was introduced — International Day of Happiness which is supposed to remind us that the intention to be happy unites all people on the planet.
We launched a survey among affiliates to coincide with this holiday. We wanted to know what simple and fragile happiness of a typical affiliate consists of. To make the results engaging the respondents were from different parts of the world.
Well, what is affiliates' happiness?
English-speaking colleagues:
- Helping people out to become profitable.
- Finding that one killer image which smashes all campaigns.
- Publisher managers who listen and help to find good offers.
- Good/Fast support, quality offers, high payouts, reliable payments.
- Music and series like “Seinfeld”, “Scrubs”, “HIMYM”, “Workaholics”, “Friends”, “King of queens”, “Malcom in the middle”.
- No cheap women around.
- Clicking refresh button.
- Profitable campaigns.
- My family, my wife, my dogs, my car.
- Coming up with something that works straight away.
- Bitcoin going up.
- Service to others, helping to improve the lives of people I care about.
- Meeting people that are genuine and sincere, that won't hesitate to help out others.
- Bouncing ideas around with professionals.
- Working with a team that is knowledgeable and skilled and respects everyone else's abilities and opinions.
- Testing out something new - whether it’s a new type of offer or a new traffic source or a new angle or new campaign settings — and seeing good results.
- Pleasant surprises and "coincidences" such as coming across certain useful and relevant information just as I'm needing it.
- Being able to work from anywhere in the world I want.
- Having in my life people that love me, that I can love back.
- Living in a country where crime rate is low, with a roof over my head and food in my stomach.
- High ROI, unlimited CAP, scalability, unique Landers/Ad Copy that haven't been pounded into dirt.
- Money, money money: making money 24/7, the money rolling in the bank, passive income everyday.
- Solving someone's genuine problem.
- Spreading brand's awareness.
- People appreciating my work.
- Balancing my work-life.
- Having a campaign that's so profitable you can literally test anything you want and you're always in the green.
The opinions are very diverse, aren’t they? Let’s see what Russian-speaking affiliates think of happiness:
- Stable and high payouts without delays.
- Good quality of traffic.
- Fast Webmoney transfer.
- Pretty affiliate managers (like in Zorka.Network — editor’s note)
- Money.
- Being healthy and the health of your close people.
- Adventures.
- When you create something new and useful.
- When you manage to do something new.
- Successful tests of new angles.
- Travelling, family, work, nature, music.
- Doing the job you enjoy and that brings you satisfaction.
- Good offers.
- Supportive and sane affiliate managers.
As you might have noticed the criteria of happiness of affiliates from different countries are very similar. All of them want to be healthy, travel, spend time with their families and MONEY (repeated many times). All affiliates are happy when they manage to try something new and get profit. The most touching part is the intention to help others improve and sharing the experience with each other. At that moment of the article all team of Zorka.Network shed tears cause mutual help and a good attitude to all people whether they are newbies or professionals are the basis of human being.
Be happy and choose the affiliate network after your heart.

Be happy and choose the affiliate network after your heart.
I've always been of the opinion that no matter our skin color, nationality, culture, gender, sexual orientation, religion, education level, political affiliation, age, career, etc. - underneath it all, we all just want to be happy.
And as you have found in your poll, there's definitely a pattern of what makes people happy.
The 2-cents I can contribute to this topic, is something that took me several years to TRULY understand, and that is:
Happiness is a state of mind that can be unconditional.
Some of us feel that we can't be happy unless this or that happens - for example unless we find a mate, or have a million dollars in the bank, or own our dream house/car/etc., or be able to travel the world.
But in a majority of cases, after we've acquired that next thing we want, the happiness would only last a few minutes/hours/days/weeks before the novelty would wear off. Then we'd be right back where we started, lusting after that next thing, that next person, that next circumstance, that next goal.
In order to be happy consistently, we need to do our best to
enjoy the process, and not just the result.
This means try to follow our heart by choosing to do what makes us truly happy, whenever possible (which may seem obvious but I've seen people choose the path of misery based on false beliefs - been there done that many times myself).
And when that's not possible at present - for example say you're stuck at a job you don't enjoy - try to change your perception of your current circumstance by finding a list of things to appreciate. For example focus on the fact that the job is putting a roof over your head and food on the table, and/or focus on a friendly colleague, and/or the fact that you're making valuable contributions to your employer.
Do enough of that, and you're guaranteed to feel better.
(And for those of you that believe in the law of attraction theories: Your reality is just a mirror of your inner beliefs and expectations. So if you focus on appreciation more than anything else, more appreciation-worthy people/things/circumstances will come into your experience.)
Lastly - there's an even more direct way to happiness, but this will only work when you are in the immediate vicinity of it, i.e. you're already feeling OK, and not anywhere near depressed or worried:
Often,
I would just close my eyes, lean back, and FEEL what happiness feels like. I'd just let the good-feeling energy wash over me.
Or I would repeat positive-feeling words in my head, or even out loud - such as happiness, excitement, ease, comfort, relaxation, prosperity - and just FEEL the energy of those words.
Nowadays that's often all it takes to keep me happy.
Happiness can truly be unconditional, as it's always just a few positive thoughts away - within anyone's reach if they'd just bother to think increasingly-positive thoughts to bridge the gap.
I'm still not happy 100% of the time, but I'm getting better all the time with practice. HUGE difference compared to my younger self, who suffered from chronic depression for well over a decade, before I finally got sick and tired of the negative energy and decided to help myself out of that funk. In case anyone reading this is in the same situation I was, hang in there - I got better, so can you.
Gonna stop here before I turn another post into a novel -
thanks Zorkanetwork for taking the time to do this poll and compiling and sharing the results!

For me it's only one thing - when I'm proud of what I do, and I see good results of my work. It can be not only work, also some hobbies.

To me being able to spend time with my wife and kids is the most important this in my life.
I spent years are a corporate slave and I'm now doing what I love and even though there's a lot of ups and down I wouldn't change a thing.

This is going to be completely different for each person as we all have different hopes and goals. During life some of them will change for sure as we develop ourselves and change priorities.
For me, it's simple:
- Smashing my goals (always challenging myself)
- Traveling the world with my partner and doing challenges together like eating better, doing exercise, getting more clients, etc.
- Enjoying quality time with family/friends at once per month
- My cat and videos of funny cats (9gag serves me well for ironic laughs overall)
- Watching some series/anime from time to time
- Watching how this world develops with technology
- Tech and gadgets (they are my passion and initially what brought me into the online space)
