How to Automatically Adjust AdSet Bids based on ROI (Without pixel on Thankyou Page)
Howdy Stackers,
I have a campaign with over 100 adsets. I need a way to automatically increase/decrease adset bids based on ROI that is reported by my server. Right now I do this manually and it's very time-consuming.
Unfortunately, I don't have and I am unable to get:
- A pixel on the order confirmation page.
- The email addresses of my landing page visitors to upload offline conversions to Facebook.
Here are avenues that I have explored:
- AdEspresso. This has some powerful optimization rules that allow you to change adset prices based on various performance metrics. However in my situation, it wont work because they don't have any sort of API or integration (that I'm aware of) that would allow me to import ROI data.
- Qwaya. This almost works, because it allows for Google Analytics integration, and can show you cost per transaction by adset, ad, and campaign, and it can run optimization rules based on these values imported from Google Analytics. However, right now Qwaya can only 'pause' an item. There's no way to adjust bids based on these rules.
- Smartly.io They advertise Google Analytics integration and appear to have a fairly robust set of automated rule capabilities. However, I'm unsure if their GA integration is for reporting only. I tried reaching out to them to find out if values from GA can be used in their automated rules but I haven't heard back yet.
- Custom Script interfaced with Facebook API. This seems like my best bet at this point.
What do you think - have I missed something? Any way to accomplish this without a custom script?

I know you can cut certain ads when they exceed a certain cpc (so if you know your epc, you can set a lowest ROI bar for example), but decreasing/increasing budgets would be impossible without a pixel I think.
