High Amount of Cart Abandonments

Hi everyone!

I've been running Facebook ads to my Dropshipping store and I'm running into a couple of issues. I've posted my ad stats below.

Ad stats: https://imgur.com/lh1qZNn

As you can see my abandoned cart is very high in comparison to my purchases, in fact 5 of the seven purchases were break even as I gave a huge discount to five customers (reason for the discount was that the image I used for my model was heavily photoshopped and got lots of angry customers, I responded by giving a few customers heavy discounts). Some people were going to buy they said in comments but were put off by the image which I totally missed! So really only 2 legit purchases.

However, the image for my product surely cannot be the only reason for the high cart abandonment, I'm a bit perplexed to be honest.

Any suggestions? Is this typical of when your product is too expensive?

Thanks in advance,
Christian.

It is really hard to say without knowing more about your product and your checkout page.

If you have the email/phone details, you can just ping them and ask the people why they didn't end up buying.

The best answers are always the simplest! I have a plenty of emails so I will hopefully be able to gather some decent feedback.

Also, I realised that one of my discount codes on my 'spin to win' pop up didn't work so i bet that lost a few orders! I've since optimised my checkout page which will hopefully improve things too.

I'm going to check out some big names in my industry as I may be missing something essential at checkout.
