UK Email goes down, UK MB goes way up (2)
Ok, so the UK, along with the EU, will be enacting stricter Privacy Laws this May and it is definitely going to hit emailers hard.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a formal regulation and will be legally binding. This is bad news for email marketers. To make it overly simplified - the acquisition of data will be much stricter in terms of consent and the law will encompass prexisting lists. If your current data isn't up to GDPR regs - you're out. The fines are hefty and since it's an official regulation, someone's going to pay if and when there is a violation. As a result, a bunch of UK advs are pulling email as a traffic source to avoid the headache.
SO we have a bunch of direct relationships with said advs, and they want Media Buyers, Social Media Publishers, website owners and the like to fill in the vacuum. STM was my first thought. Hit me up!
