It looks like effective in April, you will not be able to run adult traffic in the United Kingdom unless the users are age verified. Looks like its a new law. Supposedly there is some code that has to be installed in your landing page before you can run traffic? Does anyone have any insight into this? I would like to run UK traffic but at the same time I do not want to get in trouble.

Do you have a link to the law?
I know there are some rather new "personal data handling" regulations, that "should" be enforced soon ... maybe this is the one you have in mind?

Yes here is the link to the new law:

And this is what TrafficJunky put on their blog:

I was skype chatting with one of the traffic reps over at TJ and they said that 0-20,000 unique clicks would be $200/month. This is for the API key that integrates into your site or LP. That is pretty outlandish in my opinion...especially since affiliates don't only have one site but multiple.

On a side note, I believe there is a similar law in Germany and it's not really enforced, maybe this one will face the same fate.
I don't see a reason to use this as a media buyer though, with non-pornographic content on the LPs that are just sending traffic to the offers. The ads on the websites that we buy traffic from, should already be covered by the site's check anyways.
It could have a dramatic effect on the traffic of the large sites though, if they will need to password protect them ... that's gonna kill their traffic.

I talked with some insiders in the adult industry, the hopes are that eventually, this will get delayed for like "forever" as the overall rules are pretty unclear and there are several interpretations of it floating around. Some are preparing solutions, some are just waiting to see what happens.
I also heard that some plan to attack it in court ... which could mean further delays.
Let's see what happens in the coming months.

It seems a bit of a ridiculous notion to entertain?
Want to visit a porn site? That's dangerous! Let's require people to throw their privacy to the wind and somehow verify they are over 18, e.g. with credit card details or uploading their ID to a website.
I'm sure that will make the world a better place and websites will happily comply.

Yup, it's retarded to say the least ... I hope it's not gonna hold, simply because it's ridiculous to require something like this from the people.

The UK geo is tough enough to crack as is lol.
We don't need this hurdle, but I also doubt it will pass.

yes this monster ist called Jugendschutz :-) Every guy that runs on .DE, hosts in DE or is located in Germany can only show softcore until user verifies the age. So they host in NL, register in Panama. I think in UK it will happen in the same way...
