Advertiser can't/wont pay
I've been working with a direct advertiser in the nutra space recently, who now says that they cannot pay me because all of their cash is frozen due to the recent MID issues. They claim they will be able to pay in 6 months...
What do you think my best options are at this point? Should I just wait it out and hope for the best or be proactive and talk with an attorney now?

I find it hard to believe that a nutra advertiser would be running on such thin margins that they have no cash in the bank?
Any issues with payment processers, gateways and so on, i.e. MIDs, will affect their ability to process and withdraw revenue, but surely not the existing revenue they have already withdrawn (and I imagine most people would be wanting that cash in the back asap, daily or weekly).
Or am I missing something here with the recent MIDs crisis?

Depends on where they are based and what type of structure they have ...

Move on buddy. They won't even revert back your messages after 6 months.

Since they are in US, there are legal options to take ... depending on the sum owed, you might want to consult a lawyer.

If they are US based, then definitely pursue legal channels.

Thanks for the input guys, attorney gave them a call this morning and now all of the sudden they have the money to pay lol.
Kind of ruined the relationship with them but I guess those aren't really the type of people I want to be in business with anyways.

If you had waited for 6 months, you would most likely have ended up with nothing.

Pretty crazy that a phone call solved the issue. Did the wire actually hit your account or did they just promise to pay faster?

Hopefully they will actually pay it and it's not some kind of cover-up BS. Holding fingers crossed for you!
