Hi David.
I think you can read the 40-days newbie tutorial which was written by Amy.

There's money to be made in every affiliate marketing vertical. A better question to ask is, "what skills do I have and which business requires these skills?" That way you start thinking in terms of your strengths and weaknesses, and when that influences your decision making more than the shiny object syndrome, you'll probably find success sooner. Granted, many skill sets overlap in affiliate marketing, so you'll need to build a foundation regardless of what you choose to pursue, but if you're terrible at coding but have a knack for sourcing products and product development, something like eCommerce & Shopify would make more sense for you than mobile pops.

I know people are making 10x of your goal in every vertical and type of AM

I believe you need to study a bit first about all kinds of AM and then decide which one sounds better to you.

40 days guide by Amy is a good start as mentioned above.

Good luck!

Amen!

Pop is easiest to learn, but Native, FB and Adwords have higher potential for profits.

So you can either start with pop, make some profits, and expand into other traffic types, or start with other traffic types from the beginning.

Starting with pop first will keep you engaged (as it's easier and you're almost guaranteed to see conversions), and it doesn't require a big budget. However, it has gotten quite competitive so you'd have to test more offers and landers. Pop camps also don't last very long, so you'd need to be testing constantly to find new profitable campaigns to replace dying ones.

Native is similar to pop, but will require a considerably bigger budget. Running in a tier 1 geo like US for example can require spending 1k/day just on cutting placements.

FB and Adwords have steeper learning curves but they allow you to target very niche (for FB: by demographic/interests; for adwords: by keywords). Traffic volume can't be beat either, so scaling will be less of an issue compared to other traffic sources. It would take considerable time to master these sources though, especially FB.

That's it in a nutshell! Just pick something and stick with it for a bit, as whatever you choose to test you'll need to invest money into learning. Don't jump around too much or you'll be in perpetual learning mode and spending money instead of reaping the fruits of your learning.

Hi Amy, will you teach us how to run the FB and Google ads to promoting the affiliate offers without blacklist by the FB or Google?

What type of blacklisting are you talking about? Accounts banning?

I may write some newbie guides in the future - no ETA yet though.

In the meantime, there are great posts in both FB and Search/PPC sections of the forum to help guide you.

Yes, it's surely possibble.

Might take some time though in the start.

Besides the mentioned sources you may also consider push traffic, that is constantly growing and it's still kinda untapped as not everyone figured it out yet.

All the best!

Thanks Amy and erikgyepes. May I ask a stupid questions? What is push traffic? It's not the same as the pop up traffics we learn in the Amy 40 days tutorials?

We have a subforum for push traffic. I would suggest reading ALL the threads in that section and taking lots of notes.
