I would like the forum point of view about building a MMORPG website and pushing it to the top organic results using SEO.
Here are few questions I have:
Should I enter this niche at all?
Can you make money here? I see that the payouts are really small (around 1$ depends on your country).
When I look at the websites today I see that they are using Adsense, which hints that they are not making too much money, otherwise I guess they would have pushed affliate offers. what do you think?
Easy way to test that theory out would be to run some google content network banner ads on those sites and see how they perform. If you can get profitable or even breakeven and your SEO skills are up to snuff then then build out your own site and push out the competition.
MMORPG's have pretty fanatical fans from what learned in the MMORPG Challenge so before you build out a niche site and work hard filling it with good content maybe see what niche's, games, angles, will be long term and worth your time.
(option #2 is to contact the webmaster for a direct buy if they are running adsense odds are they'd be happy to make a quick buck if you can convince them you are legit)
Don't you think that if they are relying on adsense, they are not so profitable?
gaming is huge and a great niche to get into these days. chances are the owners of those sites don't do CPA affiliate marketing, hence the reason you don't see any aff offers on them. the payout may only be $1, but what if you were pushing a couple thousand leads a day to them? haha yea, you'd be doing a couple thou in revenue per day.
