Does the # of Ads in a campaign affect how many impressions it gets?

I've been wondering this for a while, but does the # of ads in a specific campaign created on facebook affect how many impressions it gets?

For example, lets say I create a campaign with 20 images, and only 5 of them have a decent ctr of .3 or higher. If you leave them all running some of them don't get as many impressions as others. Is it because the # of ads in a campaign or because of other factors?

Hey Dan. There is not really a good reason why this happens. But your best 3 or so performing ads will suck up all the impressions, and the rest will only get a few or zero.

--- Facebook has a self-optimizing algorithm that filters out low CTR ads. I told her it optimized wayyyy to fast. When one or two of my ads get good CTRS it just shuts all of the ads down pretty much and most of them never get more than a few hundred impressions (if any). She was really surprised to hear this and said they never have feedback on that situation before and said it was great feedback and it would be addressed with whomever she reports to. For the mean time, she recommended something I already do (building a camp with 50 ads but only running 5 at a time to test for ctr and then pausing). This is just a hassle though. I suggested that their system not optimize ads out of rotation until they've had at least 5k impressions - enough to judge good/bad ctr in my opinion.

Well yeah I know some of them suck up the majority of the impressions, but I think I'll just remake the good ones to refresh the stats.

Technically yes, but it shouldn't.
Pretty much Facebook has still yet to fix the problem, there's no actual reason why it happens and there no solution other then creating campaigns with fewer ads in them. I still create some campaigns and see equal impressions across all ads, but 80% i don't. Make sure you test the ads that don't get impressions!
