Spied and copied LP, but it constantly redirects to other LPs

Spied and copied LP, made some changes on it, uploaded to my hosting, but when visiting the page, it redirects right away to some other LPs.

I looked through the code but couldn't find the script responsible for redirect. Any suggestions?

We need to see the code in order to help find it. Can you link us to the lander? If you don't feel comfortable linking it then you'll need to post the code here or somewhere else. Also try and share any js files being used. I'm not sure how to format all of that for a post on here as I've never tried so you might want to create some quick gists on github or something like that.

What is actually redirecting you?

Let's say the LP is hosted on domain.com/X/ ... so when you load that url, you get redirected immediately?

Or you get redirected to an unexpected destination when you click something on the LP?

It could help if you show us the code, someone might spot the problem.

You don't have to post the whole LP.

Just post the <script> parts or .js file contents.

Only other thing that could redirect you would be a meta-refresh in the header.

I found it. There were a few scripts referring to JS type of files. I looked into the code of those files, and found the ourside links that it was redirected to.

Glad you could find the problem. In situations like this, it pays to have a contact for some decent coder ... it doesn't take a super advanced one to detect stuff like this and there is plenty of them willing to check simple stuff for a few bucks at fiverr, upwork and there are also services like bannerslanders.com to assist you

This might happen quite often with spied LPs.

There are special scripts that are added to hijack some % of your traffic.

As a rule of thumb: always after you rip a lander do your work and go through it and clean everything, especially suspicious JS that you are not familiar with.

Sometimes it can be also hidden in a well known files like jQuery libraries, in this case I also highly recommend to use an external CDN-hosted libraries.

It will be faster and safer also.

Great you found it! After some practice you'll be able to find these codes in no time! Also, it's always good to learn from these scripts as it would be handy to add in your future landers to work in your favor.
