I was hoping some of yall experts in here could chime in on the proper times to use interest expansion and how it affects adset optimization on facebook's end, assuming the pixel is optimizing for lander to offer clicks. The landers we use are extremely aggressive as we are running BH with interest expansion on... could this possibly be messing up facebook from optimizing for the converting audience, as our pixel is not placed on the conversion end.
Optimizing for conversion end is not an option for us because the network is not willing to place our pixel there haha. Any suggestions boys?

How have you set up your pixel on your landing?
If you did not already, you can add a redirect page that trigger a pixel with 'Lead' conversion. That way you can make conversion campain and scale more easily. In addition you you will be able to make look like audience who can be very profitable.
Sorry -- we do have it triggering the lead as they click on our landing page to the offer page. Were wondering if turning on Interest expa. will have our camps optimize incorrectly as our landers are extremely clickbaity/aggressive, so even people that aren't particularly going to convert will most likely click through, and were afraid itd quickly start optimizing for the wrong audience.
That might well be a problem either way, given you're effectively optimising for lander CTR with your current setup. Adding interest expansion may or may not make the problem worse - I'd split-test and see.
Given how you're running, you might also want to split-test some other approaches to the setup - engagement campaigns and/or optimising for link clicks - and see what performs best.
