What is this favicon.ico thing!?
So I've been ripping landers for the past 3 days to better and faster at it. theres this thing that sometimes appear and I have no idea what it does or how to get rid of it. On some landers its not there, while on others its there.
So basically when I test the lander on an incognito page and have F12 open on the right side, I click around the lander and this favicon.ico thing appears. what is it and how do I make it go away? Usually landers just have that click file but sometimes it has the click file and favicon.ico file.

It's the icon that would be used when a page is bookmarked.
You can get rid of it fairly easily - just add this line of code to your lander's <head> -
<link rel="icon" href="data:;base64,iVBORw0KGgo=">

Hey Caurmen! thanks for your reply! I thought it was some kind of malicious thing that I couldn't get rid of.
Got another quick question. Because I have ran some campaigns on facebook in the past, I know that on that traffic source when I set for example a daily budget of $10 it spends it throughout the until 24 hour day. But now that I am doing mobile, when I run campaigns on popads or zeropark, and I set a daily budget of $10, It reaches the limit within 30 minutes.
Am I doing something wrong or is this how it is suppose to be? If so, how does one optimize for day parting if the daily budget runs out so quick?
Thanks!

Most pop traffic networks will allow you to throttle traffic, i.e. to spread it out throughout the day.
Unfortunately, Zeropark doesn't provide this option.
However, PopAds does:
Go to the "Throttling" section in campaign settings to set that up.
So, I would suggest to figure out the dayparting on other networks, then scale to Zeropark - they do offer dayparting, just not throttling.

ahhh i see. Do you use throttling yourself Amy?
do you recommend a complete newbie like me to throttle traffic? what do you usually do when you start a new campaign?
I was thinking maybe I could just blow money really fast to see if something converts then throttle? But then what if the hour I am blowing money quickly isn't the time that people like converting.
hmm...

I'm quite impatient when it comes to gathering data - so I rarely throttle.
For pop, efficiency is key, so being able to spend money fast can be a good thing. If you're concerned about performance, avoid the normal sleeping hours in your target geo (around maybe 12am to 9am). Usually, after-work hours tend to convert well (5pm-10pm or 12am), and often during-work hours (9am-5pm) as well depending on the vertical and geo. And of course the sample hours I gave above are geo-dependent as well.
Also make sure your offer isn't hitting lead cap every day. If it is, find out what time it gets reset to zero every day. Basically once the daily cap is hit for the day, all traffic that is sent to the offer would get redirected to another offer for the rest of the day, until it gets reset and will accept traffic again. Most capped offers would get reset at either midnight local time, or midnight where the aff network is located. In that case then you'd want to find out from your AM what time the cap is being hit at, and run traffic before that time (plus a time that coincides with the best-converting hours as mentioned above). Note: As more and more people promote that offer, the cap would be hit earlier and earlier in the day - just something to watch out for.

haha I am impatient too. ok I think I understand, thanks!
So, yesterday morning I ran my first campaign of $10 without throttle and I got one conversion. Then, today morning it shows that, yesterday I got two conversions. I am 100% sure I saw 1 conversion yesterday because it was my first conversion ever and I almost cried lol.
But um, why did it do that? I've been sitting here thinking so hard... does it have to do with the timezone difference? I am running the campaign in Australia geo so its one day ahead. I am Pacific time (US and Canada).
does this mean I run my campaigns blind and then check my results the next day? how do I combat this?

What probably happened is that someone saw your ad then converted later. It happens from time to time, although it's usually a reasonably small part of the stats.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, although you probably should leave some time between running the campaign and analysing results. Usually a few hours would be fine.

Like caurmen said - some visitors may subscribe to the offer later. Or, your aff network may have delayed in posting conversions back to the tracker.
Either way - like caurmen has pointed out, these delayed conversions usually only comprise a small part of your stats. You can usually just make decisions based on current stats without waiting for any delayed conversions to roll in, without major inaccuracy. But this won't always be the case, especially if you try to promote products from in-house affiliate programs instead of affiliate networks - those companies may not be experts in managing affiliate programs and so their backend can be inefficient. Anyway, if you ever notice that delayed conversions are making up a significant part of your total conversions count, then delay your campaign decisions to the next day, or however long the conversions tend to be delayed by.
In your case though, it doesn't sound like a cause for concern - I wouldn't worry about it for now.
