Trying to figure out if aff marketing still generating revenue as it used to do.

Do you make more than $500/day Net? If yes, in what niche? (adult, pops, native etc)

I know plenty of people who do that, across several verticals ... the bigger ones are in nutra, leadgen (both adult and mainstream) and eCommerce.

But since you asked about personal experience, I make my affiliate money in leadgen, both adult and mainstream... a bit more in adult right now. Couple months ago, it was the other way around and mainstream made me more. It's changing all the time, like many things in AM.

Pops and native are no niches, they are traffic sources. And you can run niches like adult, crypto, sweeps, finance via those sources.

Best to expand your own experience with new angles/campaigns/traffic sources and test test test....

We are active in adult/mainstream mobile content. From what we see, still a lot of dedicated publishers are able to make these kind of numbers. Like Matuloo says, there is still a lot to explore.

I've had quite a few affiliates who did an easy 5 figure days promoting my stuff on Clickbank. They never really revealed their sources, however, I did know that most of them did Facebook and Native. Majority of them have built up huge email lists and I still have a few affiliates who hit 10-20k per mailing. So yes, there are many who are doing massive numbers. Affiliate marketing is as strong as ever.

Confirming your question and as we speak...

Pop traffic > sweeps & apps.

Facebook > Shopify > Dropshipping

Faebook > Nutra/Sweeps

And some new promising methods that are not talked about much.

So is affiliate marketing alive and well? Yep. Is it just me making it work? Nope. One of my friends quit his job as a mechanic 8 months ago and hasn't seen an unprofitable day in over a year, mostly pop traffic.

There are a ton of guys on Monetizer/Afflow making way over $500/day by focusing on mobile arbitrage (finding pockets of cheap targetted traffic and redirecting it to our smart links) .

You can get a good sense of how affiliates are making money and how much just by talking to your affiliate manager and traffic source reps.

$500 is relatively small so attainable in every major source ( natives, mobile , adult , Fb etc ).

Arbitrage means buying traffic cheaper than you can sell it for. Smartlink networks like monetizer, are analyzing the traffic based on a set of criteria (GEO, device, connection, carrier ...) and send the visits to an offer that is most likely to convert that particular targeting group. Pockets of profit mean certain specific visit type that shows great performance at the moment ...

Example : based on monetizers stats, you see that UK visitors connected through the Vodafone surfing on iPhone X phones from 10pm to 12pm ... are converting very well. So you try to target this "profit pocket" and buy just those kind of visits.
