For those of you unaware, Yahoo apparently operates one of the largest Native ad platforms called Gemini (yearly rev around 2.5 billion, which is far more than outbrain/revcontent/taboola combined). Unlike traditional networks where publishers are aggregated, yahoo serves all these ads in-house on their own sites. They own a bunch. Yahoo, tumblr, huffpo, etc
Anyways, do any of you guys have experience with Gemini? The self-serve platform seems pretty shit and poorly made so it's obvious they don't really seem to be catering to performance marketers; at least not through the self-serve platform. On the other hand, with that kind of revenue they must be doing something right
Their traffic quality and targeting options blows away many other networks by a long shot. And yes their GUI sucks. Ive had a few 30K+ days with their traffic. Lately their compliance team has been cracking down pretty hard.
yeah. huge volume but a bit expensive. never made a decent ROI with it. also the pixel is pretty strange
Has anyone had experience with campaigns suddenly dropping traffic like crazy? I had a campaign running for about 2 weeks spending about 1k a day then suddenly traffic dropped to a crawl. Ctr was between 1.6 and 1.9% each day.
yeah this happens in gemini. try duplicate the winning ad. what vertical are you running there btw?
bizops and refi
I am trying to run a campaign but got rejected twice. If someone here is willing to look quickly at my campaign, please do let me know
I am keen to give a try! right now I am focusing only on MGID and did not really like that much!
Cheers,
Zidan
What geos where you targeting? Maybe they were having an important national holiday or something in the content of your campaign is not appealable
Just heard James say in his Native course that he found Yahoo Gemini to be unstable but he knows of people killing it there. fyi

The quality of Geminis traffic is far superior to any other native. We're spending 6 figures monthly there.
Are you using pixel to focus on conversion or just focus on clicks?
how you doing the pixel? having huge issues setting up pixels there. do they take 24hr to fire or something? i never know kinda like playing on the dark.
meant to ask @milehighclub this
