How to Know if CDN is Working Properly?
Hey Guys!
I have recently setup a Rackspace CDN account. I am currently running Pop campaign in Kenya.
How can I check if my CDN is working correctly. Is there a tool I can use to check my load speed in Kenya? I have launched the CDN a few days ago but I am not seeing any improvement in my ROI. Is this normal?
Does using a CDN guarantee an improvement in conversions and ROI?

Go to this Chinese website https://www.17ce.com/, use google translate if you don't speak Chinese.
Put the URL in the address bar, click on the green '检测一下' button or hit Enter, let it run. You will be able to see 'Resolve IP location' of the server, if you see there are different server locations from Asia, then your CDN is set. If not, you will only see one server location which is the server where your website is actually hosted.
Hope that helps.
And I have been looking for a English site works like this, if anybody knows a site like this, please share

Thanks man, I am seeing the server of Rackspace. In your experience does using a CDN increase your ROI?

It will not improve your ROI actively, but if your landers load too slow it will decrease your ROI for certain. Therefore, CDN helps to keep your ROI.

^^ This is it ^^
CDN is not a magic cure for failed campaigns that will improve the ROI immediately. It all depends on what you are moving the camps from - if you had a very slow and buggy server until now, the move to a DNS would definitely help your ROI. If you are moving from a well optimized server, chances are, you won't even notice the change ... or it will be very small.
But there are more benefits to using a CDN : it's very cheap, for static LPs you don't even need another server/vps, it can be more stable and take sudden spikes in traffic without any problems etc ...
To wrap it up, changes like using a CDN, a faster Nameserver, local VPS ... these usually cause some improvement, but only minor one ... UNLESS you were running on buggy/slow/poorly configured setup before.

To test page load speed, get your lander link (make sure the url is being served by the CDN) and paste it into something like webpagetest.org. You can specify the location as well (unfortunately they don't have Kenya as one of the available locations - the closest one is UAE).
