Advice please?

Hey guys, bit of back story:
I joined recently however took some time off over the holidays to save some capital and focus on family time. My past experience is educating and trading the financial markets, however that's all in the past as I want to focus and persue AM

However, I know there is a huge deal to learn and I need to understand and be an expert several topics.

However I know it may be best to be a master at a certain subject along with knowledge of everything else.

What would you guys suggest given the current situation of the market, copywriting (already studying this), coding? Traffic sources? General selling? Landing pages? Funnels? Tracking?

Some direction would be great!

Have a great day guys.

First, I'd strongly advise learning the basics of everything.

Run some campaigns. Get them profitable.

Then you will have a much better idea of what areas would be best for you to specialise in.

Specialisation is great - and if you're trying to outcompete the rest of the market it can be invaluable - but it's worthless without a solid foundation in everything you need to make AM work.

Moving forward the biggest advantage one can have in the world of aff marketing is being able to write copy and come up with creative angles on their own; this will give you an edge.

The days of ripping and running are long gone (SURE, u can still do that but its not like what it used to be when traffic was 1/4th the cost of today).

Making landing pages, you can outsource for like $40 per lander (thus u dont need to learn shit all, when it comes to coding), making banners, the same, for like $10 per banner, setting up campaigns, well u can learn that in like 10 minutes watching a youtube video.

Where you can excel are relationships with offer owners, and being creative .. now if u have no creative bone in your body, then recognize your talents, and focus on those, if u are good people person then manage people, and hire specialized knowledge

Hey Connor,

Trying to become a master in everything can require quite a bit of time, ending up on delaying you from starting out.

If you’re alone on this, some basic coding knowledge will be needed.
Also it’d be good to master tracking setup and have good understanding everything else regarding your funnels.

Being a STM member, you have access on a lot of information and when you can’t find the answer of something just ask. You’re not alone in this

To sum it up, read the guides Amy suggested as well as other members follow alongs (you’ll find the answers of many of your questions there). Get your hands dirty as soon as when things begin making sense on how they work. Once you get stuck or fail, there’s where you’ll get the best out of yourself.

Cheers!
