1) Of course you can, just set it on your presell.

2) It's not really that important, all depends what niche you run, what kind of ctr you seeing and what kind of intentions you have. Pixel can be helpful, when trying to do custom audience or using some new features facebook has. But end of day, pixel will decrease your account longevity, but will increase traffic quality.

If I use a wide audience, only targets by age - then the pixel is useless?
