Naming campaigns

What is a good way to name campaigns as you do testing to keep track of them?

Depends a lot on the traffic source and campaign level variables. What sort of campaign are you running? Let me know and I can give you examples of how I'd name them.

Starting with games. Peerfly and Tonic traffic. Test 2 Landers.

At traffic sources, I use a format like : GEO - Type - Size - Some ID.

So like US - Mobile - 300*100 - Camp1

If needed, I add more variables to specify certain placement etc ... I always keep the same order of the variables, so they line up nicely in the listings.

At the tracker, the default format kinda sets part of the names GEO, source ... the basic ones are preset. And I always add identifiers like "mobile/desktop, banner format, or traffic type ...

The most important part is to keep the same format and same order of the variables, then it unfolds nicely, similar to a tree directory structure.
