Affiliate Summit West 2018 Party & Event List

Roll call - Where the ASW parties at??

Usually Charles NGO posts an awesome list but I don't see one up yet. Not sure if it's too early and the parties aren't booked yet but looking to build my schedule out sooner rather than later.

The only one I see posted publicly so far is the ShareASale + Awin Party.

My company is hosting a pretty substantial event. Still working out the details but it's looking like Monday evening starting at 6 or at 8. It's intended to be a networking event primarily targeting health & medical/wellness & fitness/EDU niches, but others are welcome.
We'll be doing complimentary limo pickup from Paris for the attendees - still trying to determine the venue. It will at the very least be an open bar shindig with some door prizes, open to a minimum of 40-50 people but potentially a lot more. Any interest from anyone here in receiving an invitation?

Couple of questions regarding planning - would you rather see a more quiet upscale lounge atmosphere or a big blowout at a nightclub? Either would allow for some amount of space to converse - nightclub would include dance floor table sort of stuff but also likely a side room with our own bartender to allow for more privacy and quiet to facilitate networking.
Entertainment - if there were some sort of a performer would you be more interested in a hip hop act or a DJ/electronic music sort of thing?

Should have more details in a few days, happy to share when I do. If there are any other companies in those spaces interested in co-sponsoring and getting your name/logo involved feel free to send me a private message.

Thanks,

Rough crowd. Fine, I'll plan my own party.

Good luck getting attendees with that attitude

Was a joke entirely. When we get the details completely nailed down (I imagine Tuesday due to the holidays) I will post up details and a link to an RSVP in case anyone wants to come out. The STM parties I've been to in the past have always been a lot of fun (and admittedly are an influence for the party we are hosting even). This party is my way of giving back I suppose - I was living in Las Vegas for almost 5 years recently so I know a lot of hospitality/casino industry people and have called in a few favors trying to put on the best event we can.

Thanks,
Interested! What nightclubs were you thinking of doing this at? Nighclubs can be fun but sometimes a bar can be a better networking atmosphere. Either way, please do post that RSVP.

I'm not sharing the name of the venue until we're absolutely certain because I've been thrown a couple of curve balls already. Including the venue approving our first performer and then the casino telling us that we had to book someone else. I can share the format and times though.

We'll be booking a popular nightclub which opens as a lounge also during days of the week they aren't open as a club. It's actually one of my favorite venues on the strip, I've probably gotten a table there personally at least a dozen times, I can guarantee it's a fun place for a party.

We'll be doing an open bar networking event from approximately 8 - 9:30 or 10. Afterward we are opening up the venue as a nightclub and having the DJ we are booking perform for the rest of the evening. The DJ is something we'll have finalized in the next 24 hours or so, but a couple of the people we are talking to are kind of big names.
We will have several tables and bottles available for guests to enjoy. We'll also have some very lovely ladies attending (UFC ring girls perhaps) to represent the brand and make new friends.

There will be some sponsorship opportunities as well if anyone is interested in having their company or brand featured on the digital billboards, getting a shout out over the PA, being featured on flyers, banners and advertising materials, or including anything they want in our promo bags. Speaking of the promo bags, everything we're putting inside of them is actually pretty cool. I made sure not to include anything I thought anybody would just throw away like the majority of the conference junk you usually get.

TrackR Pixel: https://secure.thetrackr.com/products/online-pixel
Would you throw one of these away? I wouldn't. We branded a bunch of these and I think it might be the coolest thing I've ever seen in a free conference promo bag.

Anyway, I'm hoping to have everything completely nailed down by tomorrow. It's getting really close to the event and I hate not being able to get RSVPs yet, especially considering the amount of money going into it. Renting out an entire night club in Las Vegas for a private party is far from cheap, who knew? Hopefully it's well worth it, great connections are made all around, and everybody has a good time.

Those trackers are cool, I definitely would keep that.

Sounds like you have a pretty sweet setup in the works, keep us posted!
